    Will the favorites issue be fixed soon?

    Updating an existing product is a bit of a messy process, so before making any corrections or bug fixes, I'd like to figure out how to handle DAZ 2025: Will it include compatibility with DAZ 4 scripts, or will I need to create a new product specifically for 2025? Or, will I be able to make some adjustments to ensure the script is compatible with both DAZ versions.

    Code 66 (Totte) has been able to update some of his script products to be compatible with both.

    I think I could make the core functionality of the scripts fully operational. I run the script in DAZ 2025, fix the errors, run it again—and repeat the process until everything works.
    But the problem is that DAZ 2025 has completely changed how dialog boxes work. While it's still possible to create the most basic dialog window, anything more complex than a couple of buttons just doesn't work. And no errors are thrown. The forum simply states as a fact that dialog box handling has changed—without any explanation.

    The problem is that I reported the favorites issue in January. A couple days later you acknowledged the problem and said you would fix it. Now it is 6 months later, and it has still not been fixed. Now the DS 2025 Alpha is presented as a reason to put off fixing the DS 4 script error even longer. This does not give customers confidence in your support of your products. If I can't rely on bugs being fixed in a timely manner, I hesitate to purchase more products.

     Fair enough. Fixed.

    @matew, I have been reading through this thread and have just put this product on my wishlist. My final decision was made because you are prepared to take care of your products and satisfy your customers. Yes, DS 2025 as an Alpha will be challenging but know I plan to continue keeping 4.23 around, even as I am working in DS6/2025. I am also using Windows and Apple systems.

    Be sure to watch the video about how to use it, Mary. It's a very useful product, but it required a few repeat watches of the video to grasp it, for me. Some people had difficulty understanding the spoken voice, but I managed OK. This is a global marketplace. One cannot expect every vendor to sound alike. I appreciated that there was narration. There is a lot in this one product. I haven't even tried everything. I had some issues with export/import scaling to Blender, but i wasn't able to communicate those issues well enough in the forum. Anyway, I worked around it. I use this product about every day now.

    I will @barbult. I am going to wait for a sale and then purchase it. I have a small advantage over many Americans in having lived/worked in a number of European and Asian countries, as well as working for an international manufacturer in the U.S. where many of our employees and customers were from every corner of the world and either on site or on telecommunications daily. Of course, I am daily flummoxed by computerize!

    @matew, I bought Morph Master the other day and just finished watching both videos and had no issue with your accent. I will be watching the in-depth one a number of times as advised by @barbult because it is fast and like a weather person zipping a radar map of severe thunderstorms you don't know where to put your eyes to catch what/where. And my two ginger cats decided they needed attention constantly during my study.

    Now I was on my MacMiniM4 and I cannot seem to open the User Guide. Is there a trick to it? Or is it only able to be opened on a Windows computer?

    The log file showed:

    2025-06-24 07:33:02.386 [INFO] :: Script executed successfully: /Volumes/Spawns Work/Users/Mary/My DAZ 3D Content/Scripts/matew/Morph Master/Morph Master 20 User Guide.dsa

    But no guide appeared.

    I also tried Morph Master 02 Manage Collision.dse and the log reads:

    2025-06-24 07:38:52.210 [INFO] :: Loading script: /Volumes/Spawns Work/Users/Mary/My DAZ 3D Content/Scripts/matew/Morph Master/Morph Master 02 Manage Collision.dse

    2025-06-24 07:38:52.215 [WARNING] :: Script Error: Line 10

    2025-06-24 07:38:52.215 [WARNING] :: TypeError: Result of expression 'oNode' [null] is not an object.

    2025-06-24 07:38:52.215 [WARNING] :: Stack Trace:

    <anonymous>()@/Volumes/Spawns Work/Users/Mary/My DAZ 3D Content/Scripts/matew/Morph Master/Morph Master 02 Manage Collision.dse:10

    2025-06-24 07:38:52.216 [WARNING] :: Error in script execution: /Volumes/Spawns Work/Users/Mary/My DAZ 3D Content/Scripts/matew/Morph Master/Morph Master 02 Manage Collision.dse

    Now I just clicked on Morph Master 01 Preferences & Setup.dse and it popped up without issue. So does that indicate I must fill in those areas first before any other work can be done? It the tutorial online, it was mentioned well into the lesson, not at the first as required.

    Sorry about the confusion, maybe this is answered in the User Guide I can't access.

    As a side note, the Wearables Manager User Guide doesn't open either.

    Edit to add: I was able to open them on my Windows 11 D|S and download them so I can see them on all my systems.

    The script opening the manuel doesn't work on MacOS for some reasons I don't understand.

    This one does work on Mac on the other hand:

    http://docs.daz3d.com/doku.php/public/software/dazstudio/4/referenceguide/scripting/api_reference/samples/general_ui/display_document_dynamic/start

    If someone wants to have a fix on their Mac, they can download the snippet and in any tool capable of editing text (like TextEdit), just search for:

    Relative/path/to/a/file.txt

    and replace it with (for Morph Master)

    Scripts/matew/Morph Master/Morph Master 20 User Guide.pdf

    Then save Display_Document_Dynamic.dsa and move it somewhere inside your Daz library (it's likely safe to replace Morph Master 20 User Guide.dsa but I didn't test it).

     Hi, Mary!

    Thank you for purchasing Morph Master!

    It's really strange that you can't open the PDF manual on a MacBook. There are only two lines of code involved, and DAZ Script is claimed to be cross-platform. That means the scripting language itself doesn't differentiate between Windows and macOS—there’s no “do it this way on Windows, do it another way on Mac” logic in it.

    Since the User Guide isn’t opening, try right-clicking on it – “Browse to File Location” – and manually open the Morph Master 20 User Guide.pdf file. Alternatively, just navigate to (Your Daz Library) > scripts > matew > Morph Master > Morph Master 20 User Guide.pdf.
    If you run into any trouble, feel free to PM me and I’ll send you the User Guide by email.

    Sorry for the inconvenience.
    Before launching Morph Master 02 Manage Collision.dse, make sure you’ve selected an object in the scene that has a Collision Parameter you want to work with.

    Thanks for the info. Thousands of people have bought Morph Master, but you're the first to let me know that the help file doesn’t open on a MacBook.

     Here's the updated Morph Master 20 User Guide.dsa that uses Elor's snippet:

    I hope it will work on your Mac.

    Thank you @matew and Elor. I had the computers off yesterday afternoon due to extreme weather and the weak electrical wiring system in my apartment. I have downloaded the updated manual. Much appreciated.

    I will set up a practice scene and see how I do with morph master today. It is my 'quiet' day of the week.

    I didn't replace the existing guide, just added 'Mac' to the title and slipped it into the folder in for Morph Master and in the Content Library it appeared with no tip image (of course) and when I clicked that, it opened perfectly. That way I am not changing your program. I will keep a copy on hand outside of the program just in case an update eliminates it in the future.

    Many thanks @matew
