DForce dress too long, hangs below ground level

I'm late to the DForce party, but I noticed today, when running a similation on G9F wearing the LA Gown Dress that, even though everything seems to work well, the hem of the dress is well below the model's feet. Do you have to place a solid plane under the model in order for that not to happen?  Or does turning the ground on in the environment settings work?

I hadn't got as far as placing her in a setting or adding an environment yet, I was just watching the Dforce simulation, but wondered how to fix that in future renders.

This https://www.daz3d.com/dforce-la-gown-outfit-for-genesis-9-and-8-female I assume? It id designed to pool or spread, and you do need a collision item for that (to get the spread I might try to scale the collison plane up, centred on the figure's feet).

Many outfits, especially long ones, come with a plane to simulate the dress or long, floppy pants on. But if you don't have one a simple plane primitive or the surface/ground that you are going to use in your render can be used. I would recommend closing the eye on the dress to make sure the feet are not sticking into the plane/ground, reopen the eye, then pose your character. After simulation just close the plane if you have another surface.

It is really easy to forget to do this. I resemble this a lot some days.

or turn off Visible in Render for the plane, so you can have it on for collision but not have to toggle it for renders.

I should add that the collision item (plane primitive or otherwise) should be relatively dense in order to collide with the dress. 1 division won't collide with the dress at all, but the more divisions, the smaller collisions it will detect.
