Can Poser G2F clothes be used on DAZ G2F

I was under the impression the G2F was G2F even if it was on Poser. However, I tried dressing a G2F character with G2F clothing from Poser but it doesn't go on the body.
Does this mean that it can not be done or am I doing something wrong?

I have never heard of Poser G2F.
What happens when you try?
Are you sure you are applying a wearable and not a material?
What does the log say Help > Troubleshooting > View Log File.
Isn't G2F a DAZ - only figure which can't be used inside the poser software?
Using the DSON importer poser plugin you could use Genesis 1 and 2 in some versions of Poser, so I suppose technically someone could have created poser clothes for G2F.
But it's also possible (and more likely) that the clothes OP found were clothes for poser G2 figures, which have nothing to do with Genesis 2 and would definitely not fit G2F.
@Leana: Thank you, now I understand!
If it IS clothing for the Poser G2 figures that you're looking at.... that's Jesse 2, James, 2, etc. which were originally included with Poser 7... the good news is that those were pre-weight-mapping, so if you have Evil Innocence's crossdresser program, you could convert those clothes to fit the base Victoria 4 and M4. Then, assuming you buy the appropriate crossdresser plug-ins, you could try loading the result any Genesis generation figure that you have a V4 clone for. However, as it's a fit from a fit, I wouldn't expect the results to be fantastic. In addition, keep in mind that the Power G2 figures are not only several generations earlier than the Genesis products, but they may use a different material system or settings, at which point you're going to be doing so much work to try to make it work in Iray that it would hardly be worth the effort. I know people who've done it, but they've all kept the shape that they loaded the clothing onto extremely close to the original V4/M4 shape.
Now, all that said, keep in mind that the Jesse 2 and James 2 figures, along with some of their clothes, have been included as freebies in most versions of Poser since P7, so if you own one of those, you might want to double check to see if you already have said item before buying it. And yes, if you're wondering, since the Poser G2 figures weren't weight-mapped, they can actually be loaded and used in Poser, so one could theoretically make a James 2 or Jesse 2 clone...
If you search the Poser G2 characters you will see they include. Jesse and Sydney and Olivia, and look somewhere between Victoria3 and Victoria4 in the development timeline.
Completely different model from Genesis 2 Female, from Daz3D that was the evolution of the original Genesis Character which are newer charcaters
That is why Daz3D never like using the abreviation G2F in its products , rather using the full Genesis 2 Female, so there would be no confusion with the older dated Poser character models.
I bought a large bundle of historical clothing for G2 James on Rendo when they were very cheap ($3.50 for the whole lot). Even when I used Poser, may eons ago, I don't think I ever used G2 James, but I wanted to see how easily I could get them onto G8M. I used a method similar to what Cybersox outlines above. Here are some small renders of the conversions. Obviously the clothing is not up to modern standards, but they help fill out a few niche genres which are pretty thin on the ground on this site.
Those came out pretty well considering how convoluted the conversion process is! I have to admit that I rarely used the Poser G2 figures back in the day, as I actually thought the poser G1 generation with the original Jesse, James, Miki, etc. that came with Poser 6 and even the Poser 5 figures Judy & Don figures looked more natural in terms of sculpts... and, of course, because the Victoria 3 and Victoria 4 generation figures from DAZ were clearly the best that was available at the time, with the only two possible exceptions of being the brilliant stand-alone Apollo Maximus and, for anime type renders, the Japanese created Terai Yuki.
