3D assets for outerspace habitats

I'm interested in space habitats such as O'Neill cylinders and futuristic mega structures of the like. Can anyone point me to 3D assets related to this, here in Daz or elsewhere? Thanks.

Cheers!

    I haven't seen anything such.

But how many details do you want? If you want people walking around close by, you would need details, but if you just want it as a longer distance shot, like the above image, you should be fine with low poly.

And if you can define some structures, you might do it with ultrascatter.

    felis,

Thanks for the feedback. Yes, your prompts helped me think about how to break down a scene -- what 3D assets I need and  in what form of shape they should come.

For "outdoor" shots in space, we'd need 3D assets designed specifically to recreate these mega structures set against the a backdrop of outerspace. If we follow  the traditions of hard science fiction, the design and arrangement of their outline and their form factor should meet the technical needs of habitats in space: propulsion nodes, gravity generator modules, solar collectors and converters, waste and atmospheric recycling and filtration systems, etc. I don't have the 3D design chops to carry that out. I'd be happy to find a vendor, here in Daz or elsewhere, who does and I'd gladly pay for these goods.

As to the interior, it's still a human habitat we're talking about here. So your contemporary 3D or sci-fi terrestrial architectural assets should work. It would be something to whip out an urban landscape laid out on the inwardly curving surface of gigantic cylinder in space -- with Ultrascatter, as you suggest.

Although ... given that these are resource-constrained space habitats, thinking about urban design inside O'Neill cylinders most likely would follow deisgn principles for arcologies. As per Wikipedia:

Arcology, a portmanteau of "architecture" and "ecology" is a field of creating architectural design principles for very densely populated and ecologically low-impact human habitats.

Here's a handful of concept designs:

Hmm. Lots to think about here. laugh

    Cheers!
