Release Time Change?

Only time will tell, but I know the change means I will probably shop less.  I don't mean that in any petty way - it is just a fact of my time and the structure of my day.  I used to enjoy catching things on "moment of release".

The real question is will this work better for others? Maybe this will tap into a lucrative day market that previously felt slighted by the night market and benefit DAZ.

I'm in Phase Three of the Four Phases of Malfunctioning.

What is the coupon code for Phase Three?

Are they switching back? My cart has a "Some of the ____ are about to expire" with the Midnight Mountain Time clock.

I did enjoy when DAZ Midnight™ rolled around at 11:00pm PST. It was like walking home from work, and seeing all the new display windows in a department. Have a look, and if anything really caught your eye, snatch it up right quick. If this is the new selling pattern, I wonder how it will effect little things like Flash Sales? Savy shoppers knew it was going to end by 11:59pm MST. So you could wait and ponder if it was really worth it.

I don't mind it, but it does ruin the evening for me. Oh well, all good things...

What I'd love for them to bring back is "With Any NEW Purchase, get an extra [INSERT PERCENTAGE HERE] off the artist stores."

Rather than going, "Do I really need to buy this $9.99 bikini (which I'll never use) to get an extra 20% off an item that's been on my wishlist that never goes on sale?" Never much cared for trying to push the items of the day to get an extra discount on stuff I already wanted.

Anyway, good luck DAZ! Change is hard.

Much prefer the earlier release time .. for me .. it's first thing on the morning after getting out of bed .. I'm more conditioned to look and ultimately buy at that time.

There's been releases the last few days that I wouldn't mind having but come 4pm release time I'm doing other stuff and even forgetting to check at Daz. Now, those things have built up but I'm not going to buy a big load of stuff at once so some will drift and I'll either forget about them completely or, at best, pick them up in sales down the line. It would be fine buying them 1 day at a time .. but not 4 days worth in one go (psychology, huh?)

That didn't last long. I just got today's sale email from Ati at 2:05 AM.

    Maybe it's a bug due to the week-end ?

...looks like they decided to go back the way it was as I just received and email about the "Massive 4 Day Memorial Day 1.99 Sale" continuing with all "new" New Releases at 23:22 PDT.

The number of pages in the 1.99$ Legacy sale was also expanded from 32 to 57.so new items were added

One of the original comments said it was so there would be someone in the office to sort things out if they went wrong. Maybe if no-one is in the office at weekends the later release will be a weekdays only thing.

They might stick to the old times for weekends, as no one will come into the office in any case.

It never made sense for new items to be introduced and sales to start when the office was closed.

It seems like they've definitely gone back, but I honestly preferred the new time. And it being during actual office hours made so much more sense

As someone who lives in Europe, I am pleased that Daz is returning to the original time. But it's probably different for every time zone and every individual daily routine.

It's frustrating how they seem to be going back and forth.  Maybe new releases dropping shortly today, or maybe no new releases today at all?  I'll work with whichever schedule they use, I just want consistency.

The wishlist sale started at the usual time and the time the used for a couple of days is already behind us (by a bit less than half an hour when you posted your message, close to one hour now).

Yes, I was referring to the new releases not being released at any of the latest times within the last week.

There is no going back and forth. As you said yourself, none of the things have released at the later times this week. It's been completely consistent since the 4-day Memorial Sale started (although it is annoying that they moved to the later time and moved back to the earlier time without any announcements or communication)

The fact that no new releases have come out yet today is exactly why it was brought up.  Are they releasing later or not at all?  We have no idea.  If they're being released later that would be going back to the late release schedule.

I like the old time better too, even though most days I don't read my DAZ email until 13:00 or laters EST.
