Shape Transfer DAZ Premier and other things

leo04leo04 Posts: 389

Okay, I bought into the Premium thing and have some questions.

Are there any tutorials on how to use the Shape Transfer, to get ealier versions of my characters into Genesis 9 as advertised?

What about Geometry Sculptor? Pose Converter? Render Que?

I have tinkered around and I can't find some of these things, and this was a big factor in deciding to put up the money to buy the Premier tier in the first place.

I hate to say this but I am feeling a little ripped off.  Where are the supposed discounts, and freebies? Search as I might I have yet to see anything labled as such.

Am I just not understanding how it is labeled or it there some place to look?

Thanks.

I suggest you check the FAQ thread which should give you some answers:  https://www.daz3d.com/forums/discussion/704811/premier-membership-faq-questions-only-please/p1

Hi Leo04! You can check YouTube for the tutorial for shape transfer, pose converter(check the 'read me' that comes with) and Render Que which have been available for a couple of months. The free shapes/characters should be available through Install Manager and a coupon should appear every month if you have Primium tier for your free character bundle

I have yet to be successful in using this new feature in DS4.24. It either fails instantly or it completes the process, and claims the G9 has the shape of the G8, when in fact it still is the basic G9. Has anyone had success with this feature?

I did find one video tutorial, but unfortunately it's painful to watch.

    UPDATE:

I have now made one successful conversion of a G8 shape to G9. At first I thought I had gotten the same result as before. Just for fun, I pressed the "Adjust Rigging To Shape" button in the bottom right corner, and the G9 figure snapped into the shape of the G8. It's actually kind of fun!

  • To use the Shape Transfer Feature... AT THE MENU GO TO EDIT > FIGURE > SHAPE Make sure you have 2 Figures Selected. (Ctrl + Left Click) This may be a Premier Only Feature if you do not see this option. Also make sure you have the Latest Daz Version Installed.
