Iray Rendering Issues

Hello-

First off, I've not been on here for a couple years and all this looks foreign to me. PLEASE....FORGIVE ME..if this issue has been covered but, I'm just now getting back into rendering mode and found the newest version of DS, having fits with Iray rendering.Shows no movement in the percentage box when rendering. I switched back to 3D Delight and had zero problem. Am I doing something wrong when Iray is selected or, do I just need a new computer?

Again, my SINCERE apologies, if this is covered elsewhere!

    Tell us what kind of machine you have, and describe what kind of scene you are attempting to render?

    The prgress bar in Iray dosen't move steadily - it's measuring how far towards the target convergence percentage the render has gone. If you have a very dark scene (an indoor area with the default settings, for example) then it can take a long time to show any movement though you should get a (noisy) image in progress.

    Also, please be advised that unless you have a graphics card with an NVidia processor, IRAY will only render using just the system CPU.
