Ok, guys, it took me a while to understand this.

The best way to take advantage of the deals is to do a cart per deal since none of the deals stack. Once you have an epic item, you should have access to savings during this particular EPIC sale.

It is stated that "SY The Constrictor 2" requires "SY The Depths Iray." Is that correct?
Shouldn't it actually require "The Constrictor"?

I also let them know about this.

...so let me see if I got this straight: :

You need to purchase one Epic New Release by itself first to unlock any of the "Phase" deals, lIke the one that offers 30% off a[nother] New Release and 80% off up tp 3 Epic Artist items?

If so this is just a bit too rich for the ol' budget.

So after morning coffee and finding a bit of free time played about with this sale.

I bought one Epic and got x3 Epic PA items at a decent price with tokens (83%) - nothing from my wishlist which is the ultimate goal for me, clearing that list.

With an Empty cart tried adding the one item from my wishlist that is in the Epic PAs, https://www.daz3d.com/apex-hunter-for-genesis-8-male

So when in my cart, no discount. Tried the code FIRST-WISH - no discount.

Experimented with other Rawart items, I get 70% with them - but when I add the hunter (which is listed as being a part of the sale) its at full price.

Am I missing a hoop to jump through, or is this bugged? Without the code I should still get 70% off this product.

The wishlist one may require a ticket. I am reporting Apex, but I suspect that it may wrongfully be in the grouping. If my hunch is incorrect, I'm sure Daz will look at this when they get in.

I took a stab and used the PHASE-SET-STUN coupon which worked no issue, the Apex Hunter despite having been in my Wishlist for a while, and being a part of of the Epic PA selection, is not giving me any discount, and the FINAL-WISH coupon flashes as invalid.

Annoying as it is the only product actually in my wishlist - so I have purchased several items today, none that I really wanted.

Maybe I am a part of this convoluted sale problem!

Thank you, Cris, for the explanation of this fairly baffling sale. I consider myself fairly expert in the process of working out how to navigate DAZ's sometimes complicated sale logic, but this one seems more complicated and less explained than most. Or maybe it's the poor explanation that makes it seem more complex than it is.

The reference to "phases" and "buying early" makes it sound as if it's something that will evolve through the day -- but there's no time indicator, and your explanation doesn't mention any time aspect. Is it right that it's just phased in the sense that you buy a thing, and then you buy another thing, and then …

I can't tell if the sale is glitched, or if I just don't understand it, but it certainly doesn't seem to behave the way I'd expect.

I put an "Epic" new release + a current "Epic" store item in my cart and got the 30% off the new release, 80% off the "Epic" store item as promised (Cris's "Deal 3"). That worked, and I checked out with that.

I took a look to see if I could use that deal again, with different new and current items: no dice. It seems that Deal 3 is one-and-done, even though it doesn't involve a coupon code (and the notes only say that the coupons are once per customer).

No problem. Owning an "Epic" new release ought to open up Deal 2, which gets me 70% off up to 5 current "Epic" items. But it doesn't seem to; if I put a current "Epic" item into my cart, it's shown at full price.

The code "PHASE-SET-STUN" doesn't work either (and didn't work on my first cart when I tried it).

I can't try the "FIRST-WISH" coupon because none of the "Epic" current items are in my wishlist. Of course it's not clear what "It" means in the sentence "If it's on your Wishlist prior to 5/19". Does 'it' refer only to "Epic" current items that happen to be on your wishlist, or _any_ wishlist item, or …

So I don't know what's going on here. Nor do I know if the sale will, in fact, change during the day -- as that graphic of the flip-over counter might imply, with the '4' starting to flip downward might suggest. But it does seem as if the sale is both (a) unnecessarily confusing, and (b) glitchy.

This was aweful sales info. The top of the deal shows 04 epic phases of saving. This made me think it was going to be like the week of orcs special a year or 2 back where each day you saved by buying certain specials the day before. Now it seems that maybe that is not the case and the deal is just based on stuff within the single sale, but that still makes no sense and this is why. (1) The epic artist store items have no discount by themselves, so it by itself can not be a phase of the sale unless the first phase is literally 0 discounts to be had. (2) Chris listed possibly 3 deal options which is at most 3 phases not 4. (3) As a joke we could say phase 4 is 100% savings by being annoyed and spending $0, but I don't think that is the intention here. We need clarification on the whole 4 phases thing and why a flip chart was used to show the number 4.

It's working for me. It is a Featured Artist product, you need to use the coupon code on to get the 60% off. If you click on the "Epic" in that sales box it will take you to the section that it qualifies on.

It didn't work on the item that I tried it on previously (can't now remember which item that was, sorry, but it was one of the items from the Featured Artist group), but does now seem to work on other items from that selection.

And it seems that Deal 3 -- the "30% off plus 80% off" offer -- can actually be used more than once. I may have just stumbled on the one item in the collection that doesn't trigger discounts correctly. Or I may have done something lame-brained.

EDIT: OK, I think I've got it.

If you go to the "Epic" Artist Stores section at the foot of the sales page, and click on the badge for Kooki99, you get taken to a list that shows a lot of Kooki99's items. Not all of these will trigger a discount. For example, Sybille won't, nor will Ferris, Leeloo or Elora.

If, instead, you click the "Show All Items" button in that section, and then filter the results by artist to show only Kooki99's items, then you will see only the items that will trigger the discount.

I haven't tested to see if this is also true of other artists, but it might be.

    One more fun gotcha …

If you add an Epic new release to your cart, and an Epic current release (i.e. from the Featured Artist section), you'll get an additional 30% off the new release, and 80% off the older item. So far so good. But if you apply the coupon code FIRST-WISH and the current release is not in your wishlist, then the discount on the current release drops to 70%.

Not necessarily a big deal unless you have a mix of wishlisted and non-wishlisted items and new items in your cart, in which case you could accidently reduce your discount on the non-wishlisted items without meaning to. Better to buy the new item separately if you can, and then use the FIRST-WISH coupon separately.

cool The deals are way too complex for .... people.

3.- 4. is a single thing. 70% if it's not on the wishlist and 80% if it's on the wishlist. (maximum 5 items from the current “Epic” Artist Store Items.)

    1.

60% off*   Any 1 current "Epic" Artist Store Item
    Use Code: PHASE-SET-STUN

    2.

Buy any “Epic” New Release with any current “Epic” Artist Store Items to get:

Extra 30% off*The “Epic” New Releases and

80% off*‡ up to 3 current “Epic” Artist Store Items

    3. (ONLY if you have ALREADY Epic new releases.)

Own an “Epic” New Release to get:

70% off* Up to 5 current “Epic” Artist Store Items

80% off If it's on your Wishlist prior to 5/19
    Use Code: FIRST-WISH

  • jmucchiellojmucchiello Posts: 627

The FIRST-WISH coupon, does it work on a 6th Epic Artist item? I thought this might be the case.

This item seems to be part of the sale and it has been on my wishlist for months: SF Gemling Body Jewel Megapack Genesis 9

It still says the coupon is invalid. I do already have 5 items at 70% in cart. But removing one of them and applying the code still gave me the code not valid error.

  • Richard HaseltineRichard Haseltine Posts: 108,091

The three offers are separate in that they don't stack on the same item, but you should be able to use  the no-code and one of the with-code offers on separate items in the same cart.

Either I am missing something or deal 2 (buy a new release and get 80% up to 3 artists items) does fully not work.

I properly get 30% off the new release and 80% off ONE artist item, but the some artist items are not discounted. See cart screenshot

EDIT: I retried and now, the undiscounted item is at 85%off(!!), but other items (including some that were properly discounted are now undiscounted.  This sale is a complete mess. See 2nd cart screen shot

Agreed, I've actually spent more time laughing at the absurdity of this sale than I've spent trying to actually figure this out and buy anything. There are probably some good deals to be had here, but I can't imagine it will be as successful as a sale that just said "buy a new item at 30% off along with an item from one of the vendors below and get 80% off the older vendor item".

  • 3DSaga3DSaga Posts: 658

I've tried Deal 1 with various items from the Epic Artists Stores, and I always get "Coupon Not Valid".  The only thing that partially works for me is Deal 3. The Epic New Realease will get the proper discount, but the artist store item remains at full price.

I think the new Flash Sale looks more promising.

  • KerseyKersey Posts: 108

Did phase 4 end too early? Suddenly I got a message at the cart page it will end at 20.00 CET, and after that the following discount stopped working.

    2.
Buy any “Epic” New Release with any current “Epic” Artist Store Items to get:
Extra 30% off*The “Epic” New Releases and
80% off*‡ up to 3 current “Epic” Artist Store Items

All Artist store items are now full price with an "Epic" new release. Also banner at the top in the shop now says phase 3, instead of 4, but sales page is still on 4.

That's what I ran into also. I've tried numerous artist store items and so far the coupon was not valid for any of them. My free time for the day is almost over so looking like I will pass on all of this sale.

Ah, it says Öwn an epic release. Not have one in your cart. That's the confusing part.

Own should work, but I was thinking of starting fresh and didn't remember that people might buy more than one cart.
