Daz 4.21 32bit lip sync doesn't work - Missing dmc file for genesis 8

Hi, I tried "Genesis 8 Basic Female" and "Bridget 8" characters. When I click "Analyze" it asks for configuration file, I choose "Genesis.dmc" or other dmc files but none of them works.

I always get this error:
"Some channels defined in the current configuration file could not be found on the figure. Lip-synching may not be as accurate as expected. See the log file for details."

As a result, character's head moves but lips don't.

Was there a genesis8.dmc file in the previous versions of Daz?

Yes, I believe you should have had one. In DIM, I see it in here:

If it helps, I believe the .dmc for Genesis 3 is the same as Genesis 8. Let me know if that works for you.

  • Is there one for Genesis 9?

  • A bit late to the party here, but after downloading all of the suggested files they weren't in the default folder that the Lip Sync goes to. I searched and found them here "C:\Daz 3D\Applications\Data\DAZ 3D\My DAZ 3D Library\General\Mimic Configs\Genesis8.dmc" I copied them to the default folder that opens up when selecting DMC file in DS 32 bit and all works fine now.

My apologies for not responding to this much earlier. If you haven't figured it out already, you can use the Genesis 8.1 .dmc file. lt should work perfectly for the lip synch itself, and for the slight head movement that Mimic adds, but you'll need to do the eye blinks yourself.

Here's a short test I did a little while ago using Willow 9, everything but the eye blinks and eye narrowing was done automatically by Mimic.
