Julian 9 HD Character Bundle has joined the Gen9 family.
Gotta say, this toned, yet not too bulky build is exactly what I've been waiting DAZ to come out with for awhile. And very handsome. Good job, DAZ!

I'll post some thoughts later, but does anyone else have this problem with closing the eyes?
I have this problem with every figure. If you have have @PFA 's The Age of Genesis 9, using the blink pose control triggers three JCM morphs...

Can someone with Premier please post a picture/render of the female version? Daz never shows good pictures of the bonus figures.
I think he might be one of my favorite in the Gen 9 line. He doesn't have that weird mid to lower body ratio with the top look. He looks well proportioned, great definition and very very handsome to boot.

She hasn't been released yet. Usually by the end of the day we get the Premier exclusive.
I picked him up today-no bundles but the addon shape too. Will do some renders. He's another beefy G9 male, which is good. I like Thomas but Julian is good competition. Having more eye candy for the plethora of female models is always a plus too.
Thank you! I'm going to go ahead and pull the trigger, he's just too good to pass up. I have Thomas as well, so more well done, eye candy men in the 3d world is a good thing. :)
Finally a male core figure! True, Julian 9 is once again 100% ‘Caucasian’ (all other males seem to be extinct in Daz), but apart from that, I like the guy. He's attractive while being totally non-clichéd, and he seems like he could mix well with the rest of the Genesis 9 characters (he also looks like one of our family members, who could get a nice 3D birthday present).
The character bundle is ok. The barracks yard grimaces in ‘JW Manly Expressions’ don't exactly wow me, but the outfit is certainly quality work, as you'd expect from Mada. This also applies to Neftis' “Johny Fade Hair and Beard”.
I like his face.
I can't get a look from the G9 male chest I find acceptable with the shaping options available for sale here, and I haven't found that the male shapes mix well together, so it's a pass for me.
I find the clothing offered to be uninspired and lacking details.
The Johnny Fade hair and beard would be an instant buy if it was also for G8.
He's okay but there's nothing in either bundle I want. I might get the figure & the surfer guy add-on later.
Yeah that's exactly what I did, plus the biker outfit. I think he's a good figure but the bundles are underwhelming.
He looks very handsome and realistic, and I'm glad textures are getting even better on each core G9 release, as they are using every pixel on the 4K textures and the artists are further refining their techniques. I've been comparing every core skin and my favourites (what I consider more believable) are Sophia, Karmen, Sylvia, Mateo and John. Victoria and Michael, while being the very 1st characters, look very dated too.
Lyna and Xiao were more-of-the same Morph wise, but their texture quality is really unmatched too.
I'm still craving for something more unique than beauty canon figures tho. We aren't getting many fantasy themes lately also.
Finally, something close to the face-look I've been after! It's not exact, of course, but it's close enough that I think I can get it the rest of the way with some dial tweaking. I can finally (hopefully) replace my converted G8 Jacques who, no matter what I tried, never worked /quite/ right, so I had to mind what angles I rendered at. (I'm sure it could've been fixed in Blendr or some such, but I've yet to find the time to learn another program, and I was out of patience with the project.)
It's kind of a pity I'll be swapping out his skin (he needs to be blue because fantasy, and reasons) because this one looks really nicely done. Maybe I'll have a use for it on someone else.
Jill for Julian 9 is now available for those with Premier.
I do like the testure work on his face. Attached a close-up under cooler lights than the product images.
The tracksuit doesn't appear to have dforce and the tshirt clips through the jumper in my limited testing. I used meshgrapper to push the poke thrus back into place. It recolours to black easy enough. Juilian does seem to load very large, I rescaled him to look human size next tho Mr Khan
And some Jill, who is also very handsome, but the stubble may make her not quite right for close ups depending on your preferences. (I do love a bit of baked in stubble for my guys tho, they look uncanny without it).
I reported this bug back in July 2024, and QA could reproduce the error, but the PA has yet to fix their product..

Also forgot to mention that KOO Clyde HD for Genesis 9 by @Kooki99 does the same thing when the blink morph is used.

And isn't this a relatively easy fix? Shouldn't DAZ just step in and do it if the PA doesn't? Probably being naive, but it is a product they profit from...

Question on Jill and Daz prime exclusive characters, so I know you will need to join daz prime to get them, but once you unsubscribe, do you still own this character or it just disabled itself rom metadata base?
Sorry, I don't mean to derail the thread any further, but I'm also much interested in this. Isn't this PA sometimes in the forum, couldn't we reach out to them directly?

Thanks! I'll resort to that in the meantime. But this really should be addressed on DAZ's / the PA's end.
Edit: Went ahead and posted about it, maybe PFA sees it and responds. They seem pretty nice!
Once you're no longer a Premier member you don't have access to premier-exclusive characters anymore.
I immediately deleted the product from my wishlist.

Thanks for the renders @sid! I almost spit my coffee out when I read that and then seen the picture. lol I haven't ever used the extra morphs/character for the Daz Original. This may be a silly question, but do I have to dial anything out or do I just dial in Jill? I hope they fix the stubble thing, because it's a great skin texture and I'd hate to have to use something else.
