DS 2025 Alpha -- can't use adaptive displacement on G9 figures

This is really odd.

G8 figures will do adaptive displacement just fine, but G9 figures simply will not open the Adaptive parameter in the surface editor.

Copying and pasting a G8 material onto a G9 figure doesn't work.

The patch notes also make it sound a lot like we should be able to use adaptive for subdivision surfaces too, but I can't figure that out at all, unless it's just referring to the amount of subdivisions when applying displacement.

Is it an Iray Uber shader vs. PBRSkin shader issue?

After a bunch of experimentation, I think that's it.

I can brute-force load a G8 material onto a G9 figure and get the adaptive option on any surfaces that share a name between the two material definition files (obviously requires remapping textures).

Gotta assume this is just something that hasn't quite been finished yet, being an alpha.

Man oh man would it be nice to get the same adaptive tesselation applied to Catmark surfaces, because this feature is *very* good to have available.
