Can't find difference in figures
I made a character many months ago and I wanted to try to recreate it from scratch. And I can't. In the attached pic, I have the two figures overlapped at 0,0,0 and then I move one of them to z=2 and then I swap them. Notice the lips and mouth of the original look different, even the resting jaw positions are different. (There are no poses differences in the faces.) There don't seem to be any texture differences, though there maybe a LIE on the original I can't get rid of, not sure. When I go into Parameters or Shaping and select "Currently Used" all the values match. So why are their faces different? (The new figure has blue eyes so I can tell which one I'm looking at in the viewport.)
Although I said the values matched, some differences are there. Some of the values on the old figure are "set" but the set value is the default (so the text is black instead of white). On the new figure, for those settings, the default is still zero and thus the text is white. I don't think that should matter. Also, neither figure has face morphs, according to "Currently Used". The only morphs I actually applied myself were head morphs. The base figure is PFX Valeria. I reduced PFX Valeria Head to 33.1% and added Addy Gemma at 74.6%. Still, the lips are different, jaw hangs differently, cheek might be different. With just a couple of head morphs applied, they should be identical.
What am I missing? Where can I look?
(Why am I doing this? I want to reduce the number of morphs in my library using Turbo Loader so I'm trying to find all the morphs that I'm actually using. And then I want to recreate the character objects with all the unused morphs not loaded. But if I can't recreate the original character, that's a different problem. This is the first character and already my plan is derailed.)

Assuming these are both loaded onto the same base figure: Seems likely that one version is relying on one or more dials marked Posing/Pose Controls and the other is not, especially if you are looking at the Shaping UI pane. I have no direct information about how these characters were done but that is what I would look at, see if any dials are nonzero in the Posing UI pane
I said. "Currently Used" In poses, shapes, and parameters, are identical for both figure's faces/bodies. (One of them has an arm pointing in different direction.) Both are G9 figures created with the PFX Valeria asset. And then the Addy Gemma heads was added and both heads were dialed by from 100%. I'm not asking "what is doing this?" I don't see how anyone could answer that without the dufs and a copy of all my asssets. Nothing in the Daz GUI shows me any differences anywhere on any dials. Yet, they are obviously different. Something changed. How do I find that change?
I want to look. I want to know where to look. I'm asking "How do I find what's doing this?" I want to know if there's some way to find out short of analyzing every subnode of the DSON file.
MikeD's List of Products Used found me references to Vo Mandy and Vo Yonina. But none of those morphs are non-zero. Adjusting the Vo Yonina Head slider does cause the lips and pinch to the lower nose to be modified in an encouraging fashion. But searching the duf file doesn't find any reference to the slider or Vo Yonina at all. How do I hunt down this reference? Does list of products used have more info I could explore?
Currently Used will show only properties with non-default values, not thosde with non-zero values. The new advanced filtering will show non-zero values - value::float::0 Assuming you have the current build, General release, beta, or Alpha, try that and see if anything odd shows
I still run 4.23. But, this is an answer for what I could do. I will consider that. But I prefer not to have number versions of software installed (any software). No matter how much they are separate, there's always bleed.
I did the next best thing. I did a regular expression search in the DUF and it didn't help. This was the regex:
It doesn't find "value" : 1. There were 881 hits. 99% of them were things like Emission Temperature 6500, smoothing angle 89.9 and subD values of 2 or 3. etc. The remaining ones, ignoring SS Latitude/Longitude were values I already knew and a few body part unrelated to the head that I know about as well:
"value" : -0.6686046, "/data/Daz%203D/Genesis%209/Base/Morphs/PrefoX/PfX%20Valeria/pfx_Valeria_head_bs_Head.dsf#pfx_Vala_head-0xa06dc92",
"value" : 0.7546012, "/data/Daz%203D/Genesis%209/Base/Morphs/Addy/Addy%20Gemma/Addy%20Gemma%20Head.dsf#Addy%20Gemma%20Head",
The negative head value is interesting since it displays in Daz as 33%. I suppose since it is the base figure, 0 is the expected value for the asset.
Oh, well. I've kind of given up. No idea why I can't get it to match.
The other thing you can try is Edit>Fiugure>Zero>Zero Figure Shape, then Edit>Figure>Memorise Figure Shape, then File>Save As>Support Assets>Modified Assets and note which shapes, if any, are listed - then cancel as you most likely don't want to save all the changed items listed. That may then give you a useful lead on the culprit, if it is indeed a shape with a non-zero default.
