Areti Hair and .djl Files Problems

So I purchased this product recently and I find it unuseable.

Link removed

It uses .djl files in the content library, which don't have icons.

It also doesn't label the options by what they are and instead gives everything a number.

This means I have no idea what the option I'm selecting looks like and this makes it impossible to change hair color, use the style options, etc, unless I want to spend hours experimenting, or settle for a random result.

I'm wondering if there's something I'm missing about .djl files that will allow a simple solution to this problem before I'm either forced to abandon the product or spend hours laboriously creating icons by loading each option individually and resaving it to the content library.

Thanks.

have you tried getting support at Renderosity, where you bought it?

e: simply trying to be helpful here, please don't interpret that any other way

A .djl is a shortcut file, all that's in them is a pathway linking to another file that will be loaded

Going by the readme for this product all of the G8 Material Presets are .djl shortcuts linking to the G9 Material presets for the product.

The thumbnail for the linked file should show with the .djl, which makes me wonder if the product's been installed correctly.

A .djl file does require that the referenced file be in the correct folder relative to the contnt directory used - if you installed manually make sure you don't have an extra /My daz 3d Library/ or /Content/ folder in the path 9which would also cause the presets to be unable to find the images when used).

    Soooooo...

I hadn't installed the Gen 9 content library files because I don't really use Gen 9 at all.

I also use my own custom library organization.

When I dumped the Gen 9 content library files into the standard people folder...

    ... poof problem solved...

Thanks so much for all the info folks!
