Here's a little AI generated comic strip I create with very little effort as can clearly be seen to kind drive home the messages to this young guy I was trying to mentor. His thing was writing these LOTR derivative novels largely using AI and just changing around the character names and what not. He largely used AI to generate these works and they were quite atrocious. If you search "Dondorale," you'll surely discover an endless stream of related, errr ehh hemmm, works online. I digress. I became frustrated at how often he failed to even get the gist of my advice in plain English, often taking the exact opposite message than what I intended. For example, if I'd say, "Hey Bud, it's ok to use Chat GPT to generate an outline for a story you want to write or to improve how you've written a paragraph, but don't try to publish the raw output as your original work," he might take, "You mean, Chat GPT will write the story for me? Now I can turn out 10 novels a year."

Anyways, this one is for Jake.

Wait... you mean I could use ChatGPT to make an entire comic book?

The word bubble placement just flowed effortlessly even within the single image.

I did not know Dora had pyro tendencies though, and I only mention it cause, I was a diligent watcher of that series while my kids were growing up.  We even went watch the live action movie in a theater.  just saying.

This is a great piece. Wow factor tends to go up with the number of rendered characters well posed and composed.

    Thanks Greybro and wsterdan!

wsterdan Enjoyed the comic one pager of the little chat on the bridge of the Hrimfaxi - put a smile on my face. Your captain is very debonair! smiley

Stezza Great capture! I totally relate to the pelicans. Pretty sure they both live in my head too. smiley

Cris Palomino Oh my gosh, these are so delightful and sweet! Very natural and joyful capture of their movement and facial expressions and characters. The little one-page stories to go with them and the coloring are lovely. I hope you continue to make more. Serious skills! Chapeau! heart

Thank you very much. It's always so fun to see how people approach this kind of format, the one-pager. It's all about the story one can convey and the tools pretty much don't matter if you can get your point, or pun, across.

This one I made for the current RRRR.

My first pull turned out to be to difficult for me to enclose everything in one picture, so I decided to make a one-page comic instead.

If anyone is interested, we welcome everyone to join the contest. smiley

Puttering around with Comic Life again, just a quick test to see how horizontal strips would look.

    I love that program!!
I much prefer to create my comic images individually
as the old, retired ”Graphic Designer” in me
prefers to do the page/panel layout manually in comiclife.

It's pretty awesome for what it does, and for the price. I'm impressed with both the desktop and iPad versions, and though I boutht it when it came out, I never gave their iPad Comic Draw a real test, something I'll have to do.

    New Comic style workflow!!!!

VROID STUDIO characters converted to Blender characters with Auto rig pro “quick rig”.
animation frames batch processed with cartoon line art filter in Gimp for both comics and manga style animations

Okay folx, I made a thing!

...I am not good in GIMP, so it is not fancy, and it's maybe more concept art than a true one-page comic, per se. But it is a thing, and I will get better.

For background, although the lyrics are from a song, they're also a coded message from the one on the right in the top picture (who's the other two's mentor, and also clairvoyant) to the one who's in all four of the renders.

Also, I sort of shot myself in the foot with how much detail got lost in the renders when I shrank them down. Originals will be in my gallery as soon as I manage to get them up.

I'm doing a month long celebration of my honey's birthday month (July) and doing an illustration per day. His favorite is a tiger, so this is my tiger character as us. It's kind of a month long love letter.  They're fun to do.

How clever. Powerpoint never even occurred to me as an assemble tool. Well done!

In all fairness, it didn't occur to me either.  @tsroemi suggested it on my Art thread, as I was complaining about struggling with GIMP. Sooo much easier! Totally sticking with it.
