If you have polygon groups set up to match bones (whether by hand if it's a standalone figure or automatically created during the transfer utility's run, for conformers) you can select geometry by those face groups and then Weight Editing-> assign weight to selected, with the relevant bone/weight map selected, if that helps.

The command is still in Wiondow>Workspace>Customise under Weight Map Brush - you could add it to a menu or toolbar there if you want (I haven't checked to see that it works, but I would expect so and that it is missing from the UI in error).

i found that option in that menu but didn't find any way to add it to weight map brush menu

    a) Check the new vesiopn, it seems to be in right-click>Weight Editing for me now

    b) if it hadn't reappeared, it works to drag it into Node Weight Map tool Brush Context (or, ideally, right-clcik to create the needed sub-menus

Is it not in Edit>Figure>Rigging for you? it is for me, in 4.24.0.3. If it is missing or not where you want it the command should be under CCT Weight Mapping on the left of the Customise dialogue.

i'm trying to transition from 4.16 to 4.23, so i don't know what's where for me. that's the reason why i ask
