Can I restore a figure's pose without going back to 0,0,0?

Is there an easy way to restore a figure's pose without automatically translating back to 0,0,0? It seems that there should be. Thanks.

If nothing else, you can create a null at the figure's current location, zero the figure's pose, then parent the figure to the null. You could probably do the second and third steps in either order.

You can Lock XYZ Translate and Rotate (in Edit Mode, multi-select six properties, then Lock)... before Zero or Restore figure's pose. Then Unlock transforms.

You could also group that figure (which comes in handy in many ways) and then move the group and not the figure itself. Everytime you zero or restore anything the group remains in place.

You can select the character's Hip, select all children, and Zero Selected Items Pose.

e: if the Hip is still too much I think you can deselect the hip after selecting children (ctrl-click I think?)
