What happened or How did this happen?

I was watching a streaming channel and working on an image. Suddenly the image rendered and when I went to set it aside whlle finishing the program this happened, 
Where is the center stuff? Where we build scenes, etc My content is all there but how do I create new images, work? 

I tried shutting down and this still looks like this when I restart the DAZ studio.

Any suggestions or words of wisdom?

    Window>Panes(Tabs)>Viewport

    drag it by its top-bar to the top of the empty space, until you see a line of the highlight colour across the top of the space, and then drop it.

    And remember to save a Layout... if there's anything messed up in layout, load the saved Layout.
