Read-Me & Product Links for PA's like Antje & Adarling97

I went to put Creative for D-Force Jacket ( https://www.daz3d.com/creative-for-d-force-jacket ) in my cart when a pop-up informed me that I require a base product D-Force Jacket for Genesis 8 Females ( https://www.renderosity.com/marketplace/products/162660/d-force-jacket-for-genesis-8-females ) with an invalid DAZ 3D link. So that needs to be fixed, but here my other 2 pet peeves.

1. Read Me are not created on DAZ's product document wiki an d the text Read Me file is not provide. I have noticed this most often with products moving from Renderosity to DAZ. I have to keep doing a google search for the item on Renderosity to get a copy of the read me file BEFORE I buy.

At the very least DAZ could copy and paste rhe Read Me file into the product page.

2. Products are not validated to ensure their naming convention conforms to previously published DAZ products and their file folder structure complies with DAZ standards. For example, DAZ 3D set the name as dForce, yet antje's product is named D-Force instead of dForce.

It may be the PA's responsibilty to do the work, but it is the broker's responsibility to make sure what is offered on their website is consistant and accurate. It is the broker's obligation to guide the PA to offer their products so that they reflect well on DAZ 3D and the PA. These omissions do not reflect professionalism.

  • This seems to be typical of how Daz3d handles the very large number of PAs who have been migrating to the Daz store, mostly from Rendo, since mid-2024. Daz just copies whatever blurb the product had on their former store page onto the Daz product page, and calls it a day. No reformatting, no making sure Required Product/s, Compatible Figure/s, What's Included, etc. are filled in.

As miladyderyni_173d399f47 said, we've been complaining about it for a good year now (yay, an anniversary!) and the response was along the line of "just deal with it." The only way you can protest is with your wallet. Most artists who migrated from the other site are on my permanent no-buy list because of that (also because of lack metadata for smart content and often subpar promos below the quality I got used to at Daz).

No pop-up for me. In theory a useful reminder as there's no warning on the page itself.
