Can someone tell me what the "Progressive Aux Canvas" and the "Post SSIM Available" and its related options do in the Progressive Rendering tab of DAZ Studio? Thanks in advance.

Not sure about the first,
Post SSIM is another way for the renderer to check if the render has finished cooking (converged) - setting the percentages determines how finished it needs to be before being called 'done'. It's generally faster than just letting it run to x% so I usually have this turned on (and around 98% on both settings, but YMMV and the scene will vary that too). Someone else can probably explain this with more technical detail.
I ran a render with Post SSIM and compared it to an identical one without it, and for some reason, the SSIM one was blurrier. Strange, I get what you're saying but I don't know why that would happen. Thanks though.
"Post SSIM" from memory of reading one guide or another, uses "AI" to calculate the %... The % method uses... something not "AI". And I agreed, the Post SSIM doesn't seem to "work as well" for the same %-setting
^Not sure why that would happen - depending on scene, the % can be set higher with Post-SSIM and still complete faster. Hopefully someone with more technical details can show up and explain it.
