Hair following ear morphs, was a workaround ever found?

Sorry to ask this if it's been answered before, but searching for "ear" or "hair" here would turn up 34309480 results, none of them useful. Is there any way to have conforming hair not morph to shape around ear morphs (like elf or creatures), or is that only possible if you do not conform it?
Thanks in advance.

Yes if PBM in hidden and can be dialed down but FBM all you can do is slightly dial in another similar morph for that part and reverse dial it in the hidden for that hair, I do this for my JaguarElla FBM with her cat ears.
The 2 ways I found to deal with this are to load the hair and "parent" it to your figure instead of fitting it to the figure, or if that doesn't work, load a unmorphed figure on top of your morphed one, align the heads, parent the unmorphed figure to the morphed one, so that the hair on the unmorphed figure moves with the morphed one when reposing the morphed figure. fit the hair to the unmorphed figure, and make the unmorphed one invisible. If done right, the second method works slightly better, and acts like the hair is fitted to the morphed figure.
Either parent, size and move - or fit to, go to parameters pane, show hidden properties of the hair, perhaps click currently used and set the ear morph there to zero
I usually just turn the auto follow on ears off.
Oh yes, using the Property editor in the parameters pane to turn autofollow off:

Thank you, those methods worked. Just one of those things I'd either overlooked or forgotten about (I forget things pretty easily). :)
