Mega Updo 3 Hair for Genesis 9, material bug on PC only.

Hi,

So I've been having trouble with [Mega Updo 3 Hair for Genesis 9] this hair file. It renders fine on my Mac, but on the PC it refuses to load the custom material file that comes with it (Mega Updo 3 Base Material Default.duf). The material exists, it's in my content folder, but no matter what I do it won't apply to the hair object. The hair loads with the default Daz Studio Default (RSL) material, and I can apply different iray shaders to it, but that custom one won't work no matter what. I tried re-downloading, and copying over the same shader from my Mac, but no dice. I'm wondering if the Windows build of Daz Studio broke it somehow? Same version number on both machines. It's a shame, because I really like this hair asset. Any ideas?

I couldn't reproduce the issue on my PC. And it's loaded with the shader: OOT Hair 3.0 rather than DS Default RSL.

    Better attach you DS log.

Is it just not working or are you getting any errors? My suspicion would be that the path is wrong.

No errors, the hair object is loaded in without any materials. It's flat white. When I manually apply the base material to it, it turns brown and shiny. All the objects have the defaul RSL texture, except the hair cap, which has the iray uber material.

Looks like an install problem, it's trying to load a file installed via Connect but can't open it.

Loks like it is not properly decrypting - it's trying to access a .enc (encrypted) file.

Decryption issue from your Cloud library...

Since you've installed the product via both Daz Connect and DIM, each time you load the hair, DS will load it firstly from Cloud library where the files are corrupt or something...

In Smart Content, uninstall the product from Daz Connect (right-click on the product thumbnail to Uninstall...). Then try again.

I couldn't find an "uninstall" option when right-clicking in the smart content library. I deleted the file from within the regular content library and re-downloaded it, but that didn't help. Neither did clicking on "Work offline". Odd, if the problem is with the cloud, that it works fine on my Macs.

Hey, what do you know, I simply deleted the .enc file and it works just fine! Thanks to everyone for all your help.

wow thanks for this, I had the same issue with 3-in-1 gothic style ponytail. Any idea what causes this?
