Send me a log file when that happens please.
There are two separate For Control products for Genesis 9 - one for the feminine shapes and one for the masculine shapes. Which product are you using? That might help someone help you identify the problem. Which version of Daz Studio are you using, in case there is some Daz Studio bug interfering here?
Another thought - how did you install Fit Control? Did you use DIM, which works fine, or did you install from inside Daz Studio (Daz Connect) which often causes problems with script products? (I don't know whether Fit Control products work with Daz Connect install or not, because I discontinued using Daz Connect long ago after so many problems with other script products.)
Solved itself I don't know how...
Seems that DAZ just decided to bug out on me yesterday, I had other problems with it, and today everything is working just fine... I should have just done the usual "turning it off and on again" before going for asking support, sorry for losing your time and thank you for the quick answers.
It was for a feminine one (Tuesday character from Musso), so I used feminine at first then tried the other just as an Ave Maria, then I tried both as well on the base G9 character.
For the installs, I always go directly in the DAZ program itself as I work (tried Daz Connect before but it was just a nightmare and worked when he wished), but as I said, everything is working just fine right now, the thing is that I usually use G8, and just pulled out the G9 for a small project so I ended up installing lots of thing and I think I must have overloaded DAZ with all the installs I made, just needed a hard reboot I guess to get everything working (feel a bit stupid not having gone through the basic "turning it off and on again", sorry).
Hello,
I bought the product, and I'm while I've been messing around for one hour, I'm having an hard time trying to figure out how to do a dress / undress cloth position for a T-shirt, for instance. Something like this pic I attached. I can lift up a bit the cloth (I took me some time to find and try the "lift" instead of the "pull" / "down" / "up" sliders), up to the navel, but after that, it starts to get a bit weird; parts of the cloth start to cross each other, the back is then not pulled up correctly and begin to go horizontally in a "tongue shape". I don't know what morph slider I should use.
Do you have a general recommandation, a tutorial video (even if it's not from you) about that matter?
Should I start with the cloth right on top of my figure and then mess with the sliders, or should I start with the cloth positionned at my character's head and then play with the morph sliders? Should I use Dforce...?
Thank you!
I am having problems with the Fit Control for G9 bundle. Whatever clothing item I add to a G9 figure, if I select the character and then add fit control selecting the clothing item it looks like it's going to work and says that the fit control morphs have been transfered to the selected items and as soon as I click ok it crashes and says Daz Studio has encountered a fatal error. I have tried removing and reinstalling. Any ideas?
What version of Daz Studio are you using?
How did you install Fit Control (DIM, Daz Connect)?
Daz Studio is version 4.23.0.1 and Fit Control installed on DIM
Is it Mac or PC? I have problem with my Mac crashing when using scripts. It's not only Fit Control, it's other scripts like Pose Converter too.
It's a PC.
It sounds like you have done everything right. Have you examined the Daz Studio log file to see if any Fit Control errors or warnings were reported before the crash? (Help/Troubleshooting/View Log File).
@Zev0 will probably need to help you.
Thanks. I'll check the log.
I checked. It just loads all the FC morphs then at the end it immediately says +++++++++++++++ DAZ Studio 4.23.0.1 starting +++++++++++++++++
I will try and contact Zev
I responded to pm.
Weird, I can't find a reply BUT I am a bit of a dummy with this stuff. I looked under my messages and there is nothing there
Hi,
I have re-messaged you a couple of times but the replies are not getting to me. Could you possibly answer me here?
Many thanks
I emailed you directly.
Arghhh... USER ERROR!!! I am so sorry, I typed my email addy wrong. I have re-sent you a personal message with my correct address. I blame the fact it has been my birthday 'week', a combo of age and alcohol.
Can I ask for a clarification a point about the Merchant Resource terms for Fit Control? It is not entirely clear from the terms as presented in the User Guide as to whether the clothing item has to be for the officially supported base figure.
The resource rules state that it must be a clothing item, be for sale, be saved under a new morph name, and cannot be in a Fit Control directory. But while the specification section states that only Genesis 9 is supported, this is not clear whether this is intended as part of the usage conditions or a disclaimer about the product's default capabilties.
The reason I am asking is that I am developing clothing items that will (at least as an option) support the centaurs, and in many cases these have to be fitted to the centaur geograft rather than the main figure for technical reasons. But because they are then not directly fitted to the Genesis figure, the Fit Control script cannot/will not recognise them.
Particularly as people won't be able to load FC shapes themselves, I want to make sure I've got good adjustment support included. Some of that I'll have to do myself, some of that I want to do myself, but for some things (like supplying a wide range of breast adjustments) it doesn't make sense to reinvent the wheel when Fit Control already has options, and indeed, it's entirely possible to get the morphs on via Transfer Utility.
However, I would like to clarify whether it is legitimate to distribute Fit Control derivatives on clothing for things other than the Genesis base for that Fit Control version.

Hi. I will allow this.
hi, I am using a mac as well and it is installed with DIM
when applying Fit Control to an item it says: please select Gen 9 and try again. the clothes are gen 9.
When applying to a character Daz shuts down (but sure that is not what supposed to be done)
What am I doing wrong?
