no adjust settings pane?

as the shot shows, i can see a settings pane but as soon as i move the cursor to it, it disappears, but i think i really need to adjust the iray resolution settings for my final render of this scene? How to do that?

    You adjust your render settings in Render Settings > Editor > General.

    It is hard to see your layout from your image, would suggest a proper screen grab instead of a photo.

    But I would suggest docking your Render Settings pane, so it isn't floating.

    I think your issue is that you have a tip image for a preset that shows the dialogue, but of course that is just an image in the tooltip rather than an interactive element.
