Hex News Stops Launch?

Hi 
I've used Hexagon on & off for many years without any problems. 
But now when I launch Hex, the Hex News popup appears, and I can't get
past it,  i.e. I  can't close the popup, and have to use Task Manager to exit Hex. 

I uninstalled Hex, downloaded the latest (Hexagon 2.5.2.109), re-installed , but still have the same problem
with the popup.

Win 11 ASUS i7 laptop

Any suggestions are welcome.

    You should try the beta version (2.5.2.137). There where a number of issues/bugs fixed in that release.
