Well I'll be darned... a toon figure that actually looks like an actual toon when rendered, rather than a 3D figure with a cel shader. Even the expressions look spot on. Well done, whoever designed this for DAZ! Too bad everything else in the Willow bundles is all based on Star Trek designs.

Love her and the alien add-on! I was jealous of Premier members who get the character bundle free but then discovered the bundle and alien add-on together come out to $12.71 with 8 tokens and my Daz+ coupon, so very reasonable. Looks like I'll have a new fresh toon shape to work with!
Looks interesting and can see that it is very much Star Trek: Lower Decks inspired products.

I am surprised that the TOS stuff does not have editorial licences. They look pretty similar to the ones they are inspired from.
Yeah I am surprised as well considering that the art style is nearly close if not 100% the same as ST:TLD's art style.
Yeah, I looked at each item to see if there was an Editorial License and didn't see it. As someone who watch the original Star Trek when it broadcast on CBS in the 1960s I recognized many outfits and locations. Except the bridge is missing seats for the Navigator and Pilot (?) in front of the Captain's chair.
If we bought these sets/outfits how safe would we be using them before Paramount came after us? Was a deal made with them?
It may well depend on where you are based whether Paramount can be after you.
In the UK, a broadcast is copyright for 50 years from the date the first broadcast is made. A sound recording is 50 years from the end of the year in which the recording was made.
Apparently (from 'Ask the Librarian, Library of Congress') in the US most TV shows are protected for 95 years depending on facts of registration & renewal.
So.. it looks like in the UK, Star Trek TOS went out of copyright in 2019 to 2020 depending on episode, but is still in copyright in the US until 2061 given that the first US broadcast was 1966 and 1969 in the UK.

Agreed, an excellent style and product. If Filatoon could be used on Macs, I'd be broke by now. I'm easily saving hundreds of dollars a month these days. Heck, I'd be spending over a hundred today alone!

I got the lil' "wart" way back. gosh, I don't know when. The "Clicklet" styled teeth gives the bugger an Aardman Animations ("Wallace & Gromit") look.
Going from Elliandra's link, I found the yellow one too and got him. It's 3D Universe's Gruggle Monk.
It's a great bundle alright!
How do you buy everything without duplicates?
That's why I am not getting it even though I love the franchise. I don't want to risk that assets I paid $$$ for disappear shortly thereafter and I couldn't get a refund.
Even if they're removed from the store, they remain in your acct downloads, and if it's with 30 days of purchase would still be able to be refunded.
I don't think you can avoid it. I seem to recall reading that once you've purchased a bundle with an item you already own, you can ask Customer Service for a price adjustment. But I've not tried it so I can't say for sure.
I've been trying to work this out. I think that if you buy Willow 9 Character Bundle, Willow 9 Add-On Bundle, Toon Outer Space Ship Bundle Iray Texture Add-On Bundle, and the Filatoon and Iray Texture Addons for the Casual Styles, Explorer's Jumpsuit and GoGo Dress as seperate items you get the lot with no duplicates.
Buying the Filtoon Texture Addons seperatly is cheaper than the Outfits bundle and the rest of the Outfits bundle is included in the other two bundles.

There's a "download now" link at the bottom of the page that I linked. I just used that and it downloaded a zip file. I haven't installed it yet, but it looks like the right thing... I just checked again, and it's still there.
The first purple one worked but this one opened Dropbox and said "The link does not exist."
Never mind, It works on my computer but not my iPad and guess what! I already have it! When I went to download it to a freebies folder, I saw I already have a bunch of 3DU freebies, including it!
Anyway, back to Willow. She's in my cart and hopefully will be rendered soon!
They are still offering a couple of freebies through their blog. Just go to Latest News and start at the last page (3) and you should find a couple of them.
First Willow 9 bundle test (changing the colors-- they are not included.) The weapons do not load to G9 hands but are in default position so a pain to position in hands. Deleted it for this image. Expressions are hit and miss, It's best to mix and match and create your own expressions. I made the teeth bigger here because the teeth are too small for a wide smile. I rarely use products "out of the box" anyway, so I think I'll have fun experimenting with her.
As a Mac user I could buy stuff which is only available with Filament shaders.
I could also buy Iray addon textures just to be able to use the stuff on Mac.
Or I could just empty my cart and call it a day.
