dForce Tactical Style Outfit for Genesis 9 not working

Daz Folks hi there,

First i tested the Gen 9 for poses. All works as intended.

I downloaded dForce Tactical Style Outfit for Genesis 9.

The Dforce tactical style outfit only fits Genesis 9 however, the figure cannot pose anymore with poses.

In fact it breaks my Gen 9 figure. What is wrong how do i fix?

My Computer is running fine no issues. The windows is updated. The current Daz is 4.22 Pro.

Any thoughts?

Scott

I don't quite understand the issue you mentioned... What do you mean by: "The Dforce tactical style outfit only fits Genesis 9 however, the figure cannot pose anymore with poses."  and How did it "break your Gen 9 figure'?

    Any screenshot ?

I've seen no big issue with the outfit on my side ~~~

  • I just ran a couple quick tests, and this product, didn't produce the problem you're stating for me.

I reviewed the data files and asset files and nothing appears to make any modification to G9.

I'd suggest loading a base g9 and see if anything is in the Currently Used path, and try posing the base figure. If it's still not working, than it's something else besides the outfit.

If, on the other hand, this only happens when this outfit is loaded, i'd suggest checking the contents of your download vs the files list here

I'd also recommend checking the log file for any errors

So when i installed the tactical i tested to make sure it loaded in daz. It does.

Then i loaded it directly to the gen 9. When i tried to pose using poses it just moves over to the right, left or away from its curent spot. Gen 9 tpose is still there. When i

So i tested just the Base Gen 9 and it does not pose with the auto poses. I loaded other version of Gen 8,4 etc and they all pose. Animation works too.

Well, it seems that Dagger Dancer pose preset is not for Genesis 9 but other Genesis generation. You can simply open that Preset file with Notepad++ to check if it is for G9.

Edit: Or attach that Pose Preset file in here. We may help to check and test.

Those are not g9 compatible poses.

Somethign appears to be messed up with your smart content, as it's showing all figure presets, and not just the ones compatible with g9.

Try reimporting the meta data for your asset library.

Nevermind, i missed that the filter by context box wasn't checked.

  • So I checked, and it seems like half of the Gen 9 stuff gives errors when trying to use it, such as adding texture or a pose. I removed Gen 9 completely and reinstalled it. Same thing.

    Gen 8 works great.

  • seeing a lot of errors on certain things like this. Only for the Gen 8.1 and Gen 9. And to be honest yesterday was the first time I used either of those characters. I have an animation I have been working on for years that uses older gen and michael characters only. But I got this new gig, possibly creating a SWAT team to put on a green screen plate. :) I am excited. Just needs to work.

What error ? Better attach you DS log.

Besides, if you browse and load the preset in the way like the screenshots you attached above, you need to tick the option Filter by Context, with Genesis 9 selected in Scene pane. (ss1)

Yup, looks a bit messy ~~  But how did you install the starter essenstials packages of G8 and G9, with Install Manager ? Have you checked and assure the Daz Library where they're installed correctly configured in Content Directory Manager ?

  • Ok new develeopement. Thanks to CrossWind showing me their photo, I noticed the location of where there poses were located. Cause they don't show in mine under poses. I had to go and look for it. The poses marked Gen9 work on the character. Thank you for this.

It gives me something to use, but it still doesn't tell me why the other poses are not working. and why the basic animation part is not working either.

Ok thank you. I didnt know that Gen 9 needed Gen 9 poses. This makes a ton of sense.

You firstly click Quote button, then click into the Comment field, you'll see that "red icon of Enter". Click it then enter your comment.

So i was referring to animations in general. You know breathing, running, moving etc. So i found that it was not working on current existing stuff. So looks like i will need Gen 8 animations.
