D-Former colors are not shown

Tried on version 4.23.0.1 and 4.23.1.40.

For some reason I don't get the colors when I create the D-Former for an object.
Here is a picture how it looks like with D-Former selected for a simple plane primitive.
This is what I am seeing:

This is what I am expecting(taken from a youtube video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3_uhNjeNub0):

The only thing I tried is to change the influence mode in the D-Former Field from sphere to weight map but I am basically clueless why this is happening,

    And how many value set in Dimensions of the primitive plane ? 

    Edit: Also sugget you post a full screenshot next time so as folks may have more info. for helping with trouble-shooting...
