Part of the reason I picked up the Jayden 6 pro bundle in the flash sale yesterday was the clothing that came with it. The other reason being the hair, which I think is nearly as important as the clothing. I consider the morphs and textures as a nice bonus, but they probably won't get used as much considering I've got plenty of male morphs to choose from already. That said, outside of fantasy/sci-fi scenarios, men are usually easy to dress with basic casual wear.
Looks good Fisty. Hopefully it won't cause me the same fits that the Smugler is
(Finally got it to render after dropping the SubD resolution, pulling the Normal Maps, and reducing the 4K texture maps to 2K, and it still locked up my machine for 20 minutes before rendering.. and this is with no lights other than the default. So glad the hubby is talking about building me a new machine for my birthday/christmas)
Thanks for rendering that. I'm sad the high def was such a drag. I like it though..
I have a GTX980 with 4GB and was monitoring the memory usage with the GPU Meter gadget. The memory usage on the video card fluctuated between 2 to 3.5 GB and I didn't see any video card activity nor a pixel generated until 4 minutes into the rendering process. It took about 6 minutes with the default interations of 5000 to render this image. Another outstanding product from Luthbel! Thank you for our continued support of the boys!
Edit: Just wanted to mention the amount of data sent to the video card includes all components of the scene, including the Galactic Smuggler outfit, Scott 6 and Scott hair and their unmodified textures.
Reminicent of the old Daedalus Sky Mercinary for M3
Great image Lindsey.. Your Scott is a hunk!
Thanks, it's great you can put his head on any body and make it hunkalicious. Gotta love that Scott Hair too. I'm so looking forward to playing Dr. Frankenstein and put his head and hair on Michael 7's body.
Thanks for posting this. I found the textures as default were way too monstrous for my system to handle. I had trouble even moving the model. I may try it with 2 k textures like you suggested.
In general, I don't have much use for high res textures. I do a lot of distance work, so while they are nice for closeups, I can get by with less. I have the same issue with high def morphs. They are good, for closeups, but I don't usually need them for the work I do. =-
Here's a quick shot without the jacket, great package.

Okay, here is my opinion of Galactic Smuggler. Having spent the afternoon messing around with it, I can say there are some parts I really like. I like in particular the weapons, the belts, and the boots and gloves The materials of the jacket don't really look great to me in 3DL but they aren't terrible. The jacket is also one mat zone, so your screwed if you don't want to do a lot of working making it look good in 3DL. One thing I really like is the gloves. They look like gloves. They are bulky and perhaps the nicest gloves I've seen in a while. They go well with the shirt too. The weapon is also really cool. Convenient to have it loading up when the clothing is applied.
The models were very memory intensive for me. They load with 100% HD on by default which it took my machine 28 minutes to render textureless. The details are nice for close-up work, but not sure HD morphs on every clothing item is particularly neccessary. Fortunately there are dials to remove it. With the dials dialed down to zero the render time textureless was only seconds.
Okay, has anyone bought Titan Suit: http://www.daz3d.com/titan-suit-for-genesis-2-male-s
I am curious about the chest pieces. Any impressions? They make the outfit look a bit chesty, but I admit I'm tempted.
I'm on the fence about this outfit for the same reason.
I don't care for the chest pieces, they kinda remind me of women's breast cup pieces. For me, oblong and with more vertical sizing appeals to me for the chest pieces. They're a bit rounded. The vertical slit in the middle does help a bit to break it up.
Can't really explain it, and it's a personal preference, but this one didn't appeal to me. I'm not a sci-fi expert though. I'll leave that up to you folks.
Budget-busted at the moment and so wish-listed it for now, but just had to rave on the thread about the appearance today of IH Kang's tux for G2M. Gorgeously fitted, beautifully textured, practical and something I'd use a lot, I can't see it staying wish-listed for long.
I bought it immediately. What a beautiful suit. I would love to see some historical styles made with this quality and attention to detail too. Fantastic job Kang
I picked up the tux suit today. Looks amazing.
I snagged it immediately as well.. Well made male clothing is always an insta-buy for me.
Immediately into wishlist. I have other stuff I'm burning to get first, but the Tux is in the medium priority 'must get.'
Yeah but those big collars!! You can't deny those are still cool.
My usual answer is as a guy, I don't really like the greater selection of the male fashion. I'm much less dressier than I was in my eclectic youth, so it's a little hard to guage what people actually want. Plus, the differences in styles tends to be smaller than for womens wear. There's kind of a weird thing in game/art/3d communities that a certain outfit is pretty much over and done with whoever gets a product out first.
It went straight into my cart, immediately. Then I looked at the page and promos.
I had to laugh, too, as I was just thinking a couple days ago what a shame it was G2M didn't have a tux. I was taking a long look at the Tux for Genesis. And then IH Kang came to the rescue. I really like the crisp creases. So many dress slacks products fall down at the creases. Some of those promo shots look more like photos than 3d renders.

This is me. I write suspense/thrillers and romance, and will soon foray into cozy mysteries as a joint effort with a fellow writer/friend. (FWIW, IceEmpress, I'm in my 60s.) I appreciate, (even "drool" over,) the male clothes for historical, fantasy, scifi, etc. but what I need are more modern clothes. IH Kang's Tuxedo is a great addition to all the jeans/hoodies/tshirts I have for G1/G2M. With any luck, the slacks can double for plain dress slacks. I'm on the fence about the Adventure's Jacket for Genesis 2 Males, but it's in my cart right now. I'll make a decision before DAZ midnight.
I'd like to see something in the middle ground, and definitely as separates: Dress jackets and slacks, separate products are fine, but mix and matchable; Dress shirts in both long and short sleeve, with the ability to wear a tie or be left open; A morphing tie that will work with the dress shirts and can be tight to the neck, loosened, or worn untied and hanging down the front of the shirt. And I'd love a set of flannel shirts!
When I first started buying clothes for the guys, I thought, "why do I need more than one pair of jeans?" Time answered that question for me. Each product has variances that make them desirable. And jeans from one set seldom fit well/over the shoes of another set. Now I have a nce selection of products with jeans and/or tshirts. And I'm willing to buy more, as my budget allows.
So am I really alone in wanting decent, contemporary clothing? If so, I may need to take up modeling to get what I want... (Like I don't have enough demands on my time! lol)
Great work on the tux!
The tux was a nice addition to my clothing set for my men. Here's a render of it. Scott as 007.
Very nice. 007 sort of thing going on there.
:sigh: Hate to ask 'cuz I probably already know the answer, but does anybody know if that tux can be made to work in Poser if I roll my own PCFs for it? It would be an instant buy if I could still use Studio but the latest version gives me problems. (Eyestrain due to non-fixable teeny fonts, etc. and yes, I would risk more eyestrain if only I could get it to make a good conversion of the new guy stuff.)
(oops, sorry I forgot to adjust size before posting.)
I finally had to succumb and get reading/Vdt glasses. It does help magnify monitor a bit.
And I had to give in and get bifocals...
I would try it, Byrdie, and return it if it doesn't work. I don't see any reason it wouldn't, you might need to use the morph brush in to clear up poke through in some poses or smooth out areas on unsuported morphs.. if something big happens like the bottom part of a leg loads in invisible there is an easy fix for that you can do in DS before the export so just post here and I'll walk you through it.
Edit: Sometimes shoes convert really weird, but I've only experienced it with high heels, all the flats I've made Poser CFs for went straght across without issue.
Heh, my glasses would make reading/Vdt and bifocals run screaming into the night. Got an appointment with my eye doctor on Wednesday but not too hopeful, we are practicaly at the limit of what can be done and there's no surgery either for my particular condition. If not for technology I'd be really in a pickle; even so there's tech out there that would be useful but I can't access it due to affordability. :sigh: Really, really need to win the Lotto soon.
Tux is wishlisted for now, might give it a go before the sale ends and see what happens.
There ya go..
And its gorgeous! Seriously, I'm not much for men but I am a sucker for anything medieval. If you do anything of a similar era for the ladies I'll be all over that too. Meanwhile I'm probably going to stick one on the ladies (yeah I might be declared a traitor to this thread). I like pants roles almost as much as I like medieval things.
