I haven't checked anywhere else but on my iPad but I now have to check a box proving I'm human every time I click on a page in the forums! What's with that???

I suspect that there is a denial of service attack underway sending overwhelming page requests to the forums so Cloudflare is trying to mitigate it.

I'm seeing it too, not every page but if I click back in the browser for instance.

AI constantly forcing us to prove we're human is definitely something they'd enjoy doing.  @Wonderland But how can we be absolutely certain we are human?  Ah, it's too early for an existential crisis.  I'm going to continue scrolling through the 19,000+ items in the catchup sale to find some groovy deals.

I have it too - about 2 or 3 days now.

What is the cookie monster, at least in this context? I already know about the blue googly-eyed fellow renowned for devouring cookies.

Are you still having trouble with the cookie pop-up?

Strangely enough, one would think constantly needing to accept the cookies would be a suitable human test.  The AI is training us so that we must further prove we are humans.  Or as a Ferengi would put it-a HUE-MON (with excessive disgust).

I have never quite understood how ticking a tickbox proves I am not a machine. I'd have thought that licking my nose was a better test. Though I could well fail the latter test. Regards, Richard

It's because a machine wouldn't waste its time clicking the tickbox.

So I have not had the Cloudflare issue on Firefox (v136.0) since I first posted here.

However I do get the attached noticie eveytime I refresh a DAZ Forum page.

The DAZ Forum pages are the only place this happens.

huh ... the Cloudflare screen came up briefly when I Hard refreshed this page.

I've gotten it on both Safari on iOS and Firefox on macOS.  Although they both are old versions.

The system can apparently even see me: A page appeared earlier confirming that I am human. Without checking. I was so relieved... LOL ;-)

    Got one just now.

REMEMBER: If you can think you are human, then you just might be.

I had the cloudflare issue on the store a couple days ago, but now it's just on the forums.

I can't even finish typing my forum post before an asynchronous cloudflare thing pops up asking me to prove myself, which then redirects away from the thread and I lose my half-typed message (going back in the browser doesn't work - it's been overwritten).

For the cookie consent forms, you can use the "i dont care about cookies" extension, combined with blocking 3rd party and other cookies via your browser configuration. Otherwise social media companies can see everything from what products you buy (order completion pages), to where you bank (because even banks put down 3rd party cookies), and they sell this information for pennies.

I'm getting so many Cloudflare checks that I'm starting to think I'm not human anymore! crying

Anyone found a soultion to this? It's starting to make the forum work worse than usual, often I can't reply to a thread because the form doesn't load and takes at least five page refreshes before it appears.

YUP, me too.  I will get to the forums, see a post to reply to, scroll down and see the reply box is not there.  Refresh the page and up pops this weird notice asking me to prove I'm human and then the page refreshes again and I can post.  Odd but if it's because of attacks I understand.

Like others have mentioned, this is the only site I have these issues with, which would seem to indicate that the issue is with the site and not my setup. It is frustrating that it has been going on for so long.

I have issues with it on Indeed too. It happens almost all the time when I go there on my browser, but almost never happens here at Daz. The machines are playing games.

Think of it this way. Atleast you can keep making personal affirmations. I am a human, I am complete, I'm almost as good as AI. laugh

I have a tendency to leave a bunch of browser tabs (forums and store) open on several devices all the time and check-in when I have an idle moment (multiple desktops, laptops and phone). Not sure if this factors into the equation.

Scruffy search results have also made an appearance, and of course the biggest annoyance is the constant cookie preference dialog. Sometimes the cookie dialog has no text at all in it lol

I expect the whole site to just become a series of annoying popups someday.

The fact that it's annoying also proves we are humans and therefore should bypass any additional need to prove we are humans.  That cookie accept popup is both a human test, as well as a test of my patience.

Yes. I had the same issue with one of my websites and an AI crawler that ignored instructions and overwhelmed the server resources and I had to turn Cloudflare on to stabilise everything and stop the server from being maxed out.
