How Can I Reduce the Sun Spot Brightness in an HDRI Without Lowering Light Strength?

Hello,

I recently started using sky-only HDRIs in my scenes and noticed that, with the default settings, the sun spot is so bright that it emits a pure white light near the sun.

If I reduce the environment intensity/map, I can fix this "issue", but how can I adjust it without reducing the overall lighting strength?
I basically want to use this as my dome while maintaining the same light intensity as the default settings.

I am using this HDRI and loaded it with the default environment settings:

Try reducing, or zeroing, the Burn Highlights value so that it doesn't turn everything near-white to white. You could also try reducing exposure or gamma, or reduce one and increase the other to try to get a balance. All require a Tonemapper Options dialogue, created after doping an Iray render or explicitly from the Create menu.

    Thank you for the help!
Reducing the burning highlights value solved the issue I was having.
