Using Models in Games

Let me start by saying I know I CANNOT use the models themselves in a 3D engine like Unity without a special license. That's okay, Im not to that point, and will happily make my own models or buy the license if I need to.
What I do want to know is can I use the models in the Daz store to create sprites or animated sprites to use in the 2D game engines? Technically Im not using the model itself, but I am using the model to make a game asset. Essentially my idea is to render looped animations or still renders in Daz to place them on sprites. Is that okay?
If it is not, is it okay to use this method for school/personal/non-commercial games? I know sometimes there is a difference where non-commercial stuff is okay but commercial stuff is not.

yes, sprites are allowed!
Not just that, but they can be used commercially unless there's a restriction on a specific piece of content. Only one item for purchase has such a restriction, and that's only for commercials in which it looks like the character (a real person) is endorsing a product. That piece of content is also quite old, so the chances you're going to want to use it in a VN are minimal.
Other than that, if you bought it here or at Renderosity, then you're free to do whatever you want with your renders.
Thanks, these helped :)
