Yellow Prompts Discussion

arrjeearrjee Posts: 53

Before I dive in and start burning my Yellow tokens, I'd kinda like to know what works and what doesn't as far as prompts go.  I have as of yet to find any prompt discussions on this forum, so here goes:

What prompts have you tried, what worked, and what failed?

Last year, I created a very close Genesis 9 likeness of the Nefertiti bust. I spent so much time on her, then stepped back and realised that, however faithful it is, it didn't look realistic enough to use with my other characters. I've just tried out a Nefertiti prompt for my first free token to see how it compares.

A 40 year old Egyptian woman. Her face is the same as the Nefertiti bust. Her body is slim, although she has accumulated body fat as she has aged.

The face was not bad - undeniably Nefertiti to my eyes, but not a direct copy of the Nefertiti bust. The body, however, was emaciated. Over the top for slim body that has accumlations of fat prompt, so maybe be cautious with slim descriptions.

I've just mixed her and my Nefertiti 50:50 and am generally pleased with the result. Still stylised, but a lot more usable. I've been creating historical and mythical figures for reasons, based off sculptures and statues. I think this tool could give me a helping hand.

I've created two women so far - with woman in the title. Their chests are a little odd and I notice each processed prompt lists the gender as neutral. I'm wondering if that's related to what I'm seeing and, if so, what I could put in my prompt beyond "woman" to get the gender to be female. I've possibly answered my own question, haven't I? Do we really need to put female? I will test.

It's kind of hard to see this as intelligent if it can't equate those two terms.

Did you select Female in the (Male/Female/Nuetral) pull-down in addition to mentioning "woman" in the prompt?

I have a Mac so I can't check the plug-in but there was a video somewhere that showed a pull-down somewhere below the prompt box that chose between male, female, and nuetral.

Not sure why it isn't just picked up from the prompt.

Thanks. I don't remember seeing any pull-down. I'll keep an eye out for it the next I'm in Daz. Using female in the prompt didn't do it

Ugh, why? Another weird gimmick instead of improving Daz Studio, the store/website. For me the whole fun of Daz Studio is creating my own morphs by hand.

To be fair, that IS toonish.

As far as I know yellow was developer by Yellow, not the daz Studio devs (who are not the same as the web team).

*imagines the figure shaking it's head for a "nay" gesture and the eyes suddenly starting to roll around like peas in a cup*

Not sure what is going on - my Yellow tab does not have the drop down for gender selection. I proceeded anyway and did a generate.I now have my entry in the jobs list but the status indicator on the left is blank. I'm also missing the "Localize and View" button.

I'm done - got better thing to do than debug this turkey. Still no gender drop down box. Prompt of "female, mid twenties, 64 inches tall" generated some enormous figure - a 25 meter cylinder doesn't quite reach the top of her ankle. Tried again, at 'five foot four inches' and got something slightly smaller but still over ninety feet tall.

Question - how do I modify an existing job and does it cost a token for each update?

Yes, each prompt requires a token.

Options of gender selection and Localize and View were in the UI of Yellow plugin version 1.0...(with which I tesed last year ~)  Then the author removed the options in the latest version... to simplify the workflow / computing I presumed.

Thanks - I figured that was the case, given the low cost of the tokens. I'm retired, I muck around in Studio just to occupy my free time and I have no problem spending several hours to shape a character, so this capability isn't something I'd use anyway. I grabbed then 10 free tokens just to play with - but  I've got over 200 G8 characters in my downloads and have used less than 40 - usually take an existing creation, change the wardrobe, and plug him or her into the new scene.

Interesting concept, but I'm not a member of the target audience.

Would have been nice if he'd taken the time to update the pdf document.

Haha ~ Yea, sometimes the result looks more or less acceptable... sometimes  looks "hypogenetic". :D

Especially for toon shape, I supposed that the plugin lacked of training with toon characters / characteristics... If I blend the toon chars. by randomizing the percentage, I most of the time can get much better results.

And no, this plugin cannot re-rig / reshape the eyeballs.

Yea, the 1.0 PDF is dated Aug of last year, which really needs an update.

Doesn't seem to do the teeth, either.

For future reference for those in the US - Yellow doesn't do inches or feet, it wants centimeters - my 64 ich or 5 foot 4 inch came out giants; at 120 cm I got what I was after - almost; sigificantly oversized teeth.

I am about to try my first prompt.  I am trying to think of something but not sure what it is.

Someone needs to train it that not all Elves are Harry Potter's Dobby the house elf:

Please generate a tall thin androgynous male character with tapering elf-like ears and a beautiful masculine face. He should be lithe

DS default length unit is centimeter...this plugin should be the same.

This is what my first successful prompt came out as.

It is a picture of my monitor as the render isn't finished yet.

HHmmm, I hear talk of a locality & gender selection but neither were in my Yellow Windoow Pane. It did generate a completed job for my prompt but when I select a Genesis 9 character & the completed job and click save and apply the Genesis 9 character doesn't change and no new morphs are listed in the Shaping or Parameters tab. The submit a review/complaint dialogue box didn't work proper either. I know that designing GUIs is hard but this gui indicates next to no boundary or overflow testing was conducted. I don't know why my prompt generates a completed job but won't apply, maybe because I explicitly stated 72 inch height and 30 inch waist? That's not strange or non-human.

I asked ChatGPT if there was a better way to phrase your prompt to get better results.

" Yes! To get better results, you should add more detail about the character’s features, clothing, pose, and mood. Here’s a refined version of your prompt:

“Generate a tall, slender, androgynous male character with an ethereal, otherworldly presence. He has delicate yet defined masculine features, high cheekbones, and piercing eyes. His tapering, elf-like ears add to his mystical aura. His physique is lithe and graceful, with long limbs and an elegant posture. He wears flowing, fantasy-inspired attire that complements his slender frame. The lighting is soft and atmospheric, enhancing his beauty and highlighting the contours of his face and body. The background should evoke a sense of mystery and enchantment, such as a moonlit forest or a glowing mystical realm.”

This version gives more guidance on aesthetics, lighting, and setting, which can lead to more refined results. Would you like to tweak anything further?"

I realize this goes into details that can't be handled yet, but you get the drift.
