Thank you so much and a Happy New Year to YOU.
Thanks heaps Chuck - Happy New Year to you too :)
New freebie now available at RenderHub.
So many things went wrong during the creation of this, many repeat steps involved but it's done and now free :)
It's 1 object or 33 separate objects sharing a single 8K Texture map.

This is very useful, can think of so many things I can use it for. Thank you
My pleasure :)
Thank you for continuously giving freebies to the art community. I used it as a barrier in one of my renders.
Hi Payat, you are very welcome :) - thanks heaps for the share, nice work :)
New FREEBIE now available at RenderHub
Quad based mesh with single UV - no morphs this time.
I started this mid June 2024 but let it sit…‥I'm not quite happy with it and like other assets, it started out as a test.
The displacement map gave me some grief. and it's not quite right.

Got them and thank you.
Thank you for all your beautiful and useful freebies!
Thank you :)
You're most welcome :) - thank you :)
Thanks a lot for this! I can see a bunch of uses for it :-)
I hope this isn't taken as any sort of criticism. Just an idea: To give something a bit more "ancient artifact" styling you could experiment a bit with irregularity. For instance the pips could have some variation in size, placement and even depth to simulate a hand-crafted item.
Hi Erostew :)
You're very welcome :)
I'm always open to criticism anyway - it's good to get any type of feedback and I'm my own worst critique too.
Every freebie I do is stepping stone towards one, improving an existing workflow or testing the boundaries. Your input is spot on. During the process I even thought about running some type ancient greeble pattern but my main focus for this project was two main things:
UV Mapping in Blender and better texturing.
The funny thing, I created the die in ZBrush and every pip was placed by hand separately ( spheres that were used to do a boolean ) and it bugged that didn't line up perfectly but I was aiming for that rougher handmade/worn look that you mentioned.
I could have certainly spent more time on it...but two days work for freebie chews into my product time. The current groove is once I finished and submitted the main product I've been working on I'll run a creative test to create a freebie.
Regarding the size of the pips, normally when I create these types of assets, like my rocks, I'll provide morphs too...BUT LOL there were some very frustrating aspects to this project and I just wanted it out the way so I could get back to product work :) - so I said f'it :)
Small side note regarding the pips. I did increase the size of the pips UV texel density just to make sure there was a little more detail for the textures for those regions.
A very big thank you for your insights and feedback :)
I'm happy it was taken in the spirit it was given. I find it very interesting to see what sorts of experiments you come up with. =)
i love this, thanks!
Thank you :) - sorry for the delayed response :)
