  • happens to all of us DestinysGuard I've done it plenty of times ;)

  • ok finally got this render project to work. Tried several times to render but it kept crashing so how I got around it was to do seperate renders of each of the ladies on their rides then combine the renders in post

  • Beautiful posing and draping, and an instant purchase for me. Congrats to Jepe and Muscleman.

I agree that the Hivewire horse is very well done figure, and Rita's textures bring it to life, but the DAZ horse 2 is also well done, and I think the compatibility issues that would arrive with trying to mix the tech would not make it cost/time effective to try to work around. I look forward to putting images in the gallery for you.

    cheers!

That is part of the misery, the HW Horse is fully compatible with DAZ Studio's newest technologies, in the contrary, it's easier to handle because all dials are in the horse, also for mane and tail which isn't so in DAZ Horse 2. The longer I think of it the more it is logical to me that it indeed maybe was meant to be DAZ Horse 3 because the people once worked together afaik but then splitted.

Nevertheless our horsie here is a fine animal and can look impressive in every render - thank you so much for your support, I'm looking forward to your renders! :)

Looks very nice, I already assumed that three ladies with their pets maybe would be a bit much for one scene. :)

  • thanks though I didn't think it would be to much in the scene done several  others with a lot more characters, props and kit bashed characters/creaures/outfits. But I was determined and really wanted to get it to work and glad I worked out a way to pull it off and to be honest it was inspired by your promo renders they were very attention grabbing and made me think of a lot of artwork by atrtists I mentioned in another comment, great promo renders and examples are what makes or breaks sellng of a product often set on the fence on buying something or not given a product a second glance due to promos but sometimes changed my mind thought I gotta have that after seeing what others have created using a product in their renders

  • but to add to my last comment a lot of creators are doing a lot of great promo art for the products especially for the main promo picture of their products

These are really beautiful drapes and quite versatile, i applied a fur shader and used 2 drapes hidding part of one of them, this is also G2F not G3F.

Render could have done with a bit more cooking

I agree there is a lot of potential ideas that this product can be used for various render concepts if one thinks outside of the box also on your render don't think it needed to be cooked more think you have got a nice look, effect there as it is it suites the scene

    This set just looks amazing!

I must admit I never really looked at the the whole Shiny Sheetz releases, but after seeing the equine promos on DA.  Wow!

    Alas I don't use G3/V7.

But I am definitely going to pick-up http://www.daz3d.com/shiny-sheetz-ii-genesis-2-female-s instead.

    Beautiful work!

Very creative and cool, Scorpio, love the colours and mood in your image. :) Also the fur shader totally fits, I too have to try that out. :)

That's nice to hear, Ippotamus. Shiny SheetZ were before Iray, they can take any shader too like the WonderSheetZ. Wish you lots of fun with it. :)

  • thought I'd let you know about my little problem I mentioned about my joyride render and why it kept crashing and the only way I could get it to work was render each lady and her ride on their own. You was right about the number of figures, turns out there is a known bug that renders that have to many large iray textures will crash on systems running windows 8 or 10 and because I ended up breaking it up and rendered seperately the characters it worked, whereas the other renders I did that were more complex with several kit bashed characters worked was because I rendered those in 3delight. A previous kitbashed scene I did had a G2F connected to the neck of dragon 3 sort of like a dragon centaur facing off against a g2 male but all up that was only 3 figures compared to the seven in joyride the seventh figure being the hidden tiger so I could use the griffin wings on the horse since I don't have the griffen wings for daz horse 2 attatchment

Topher told me though they are working on a fix for this bug and will be released in the next version of Daz Studio not sure if that just means an update or they're working on 4.9 or even 5

It's all grist to the speculation mill. :)

Some great idea with the sheets pack; I keep wondering about it but left it too late.

As far as I know DAZ is working on 4.9. I can only guess but Iray still has problems with DAZ figure's subdivision and how it is handled. Probably this will change in 4.9 and having a few more figures in a scene isn't a problem anymore. Let's hope the best! :)

For me the only thing that crashes Daz, is adding subd to dynamic cloth components; it has only crashed once before clicking the render button, but it is uncommon then, but not as uncommon as I would like; there doesn't seem to be a pattern to it either. I can have three, four or even five G3 figures in the scene, or only one.

I often have more than one instance of Daz running, but the crashes happen if one, or if more. I'll have one rendering and be working on something else.

Again I can only guess, but Iray isn't that long a part of DAZ Studio, they for sure can improve the code that it will be more stable overall in the future. :)

  • well I got all this from putting in a ticket to customer service Topher being one of their tech heads so it's straight from them themselves

Thank you for mentioning, I answered although it was explained already very fine! :)

  • your welcome it did make me think of something that would be cool too though different shaped cloths you could reshape/size as an add on to shoulder pads like Bobba Fett or around waist like the Snow Troopers or elbow pads or on the hip/belt, around the neck and as a hood or cape and loin cloths different shapes that you could layer different sizes over some with torn shredded look would be cool too and chains too again you could hang off belts, underwear, shoulder pads, boots extra

All those are fine suggestions, but maybe would be better as conforming clothes or cloth props which should fit to a lot of different characters. But rigged clothes are way more difficult to produce and right now out of my knowledge range, sorry. lol

  • that's ok get lots of different ideas for things think be cool and just throw them out there

  • I've sort of done this in layering things in some of my photo manipulations done in paintshop pro but be cool in daz
