The product is so well done Jepe.  Love to know what program you used to create that gorgeous natural flow.  I love how some of them look like full on gowns and skirts with that totally natural silky flow to them.  Stunning.  It's in the cart although I'm more of a fan of the Hivewire horse but that's a different discussion!

The product looked absurd and I laughed out loud.

But it's actually really cool looking, with a bunch of different stuff going on. Good job. ;)

To be honest - now that's a story - I encountered the HW Horse AFTER I finished this set and after I bought it I realized that I worked with the second best horse model, HW Horse is far more superior, especially the mane morphs are excellent and so expressive. It's not a discussion, it's a fact. And I think DAZ knows that. But what can they do?

I've got a few questions already for a set with the HW Horse, but V7 und HW Horse probably never will get together, and I don't think that I will start to work with Dawn. Maybe HW Horse and V4? But the other question is - where to sell such content, I don't have any other store. lol

Yeah, I was afraid someone would say that - and you're probably right. But on the other side - I had to go beyond "realistic", maybe it is useful to some for some fantasy renders, who knows. :)

Dawn is actually gaining a little momentum . I'm working on a bunch of stuff for Dawn and Dusk.  No, they are not Genesis but they are good figures and I love the folks at the Hive.  Good folks there with good vision.  If you want I can put you in touch with Chris, I'm sure he would give you the figures to play with.  In their basic forms there is allot to be desired but add in the morph packs, just like any figure out there, they they have allot more character.  They have Tosca doing the skins so you know they are superb!

Richard, sorry to maybe disappoint you, but I don't have the time to work with those figures nor can I retrace the vision. Incomplete human 3D figures - in which century we are livin' ? The 'momentum' was 10 years ago.

But the HW Horse is technically perfect and the best working equine 3D model on the maket worldwide, no doubt.

Well, it works in your favor, because it invites people to do a double take and actually open it up to see what it is. ;)

  • so I take it tim you've never seen a lot of fantasy, pinup or comic art like that done by Olivia De Berardinis, Julie Bell, Jennifer Janesko, Boris Vallejo, Luis Royo, Chris Achilleos, Larry Elmoore to name a few they've all done paintings where cloth has been used like this as well as the poses for both the model and horse

that's why I've bought it trying to do a render with Vicky 7, Beth7, Eva7 each riding winged tigerm dragon 3, and horse with griffen wings-don't have the daz horse version attatchment for the g wings so using one of the big cats with wings and hiding that cat but daz keeps crashing on me

  • preview prerender so if I can get it to stop crashing may turned out pretty good hopefully background alternating  using the iRadiance - HDRI Variety Pack Two and DAZ Studio Iray HDR Outdoor Environments try again after some sleep

Looks like it belongs on a Baroque or Georgian ceiling. A Rococco interpretation of Valkyries...

Would you possibly consider doing a Pose pack to match just for the Hivewire Horse, would be very appreciated.

I started that actually, but beside the fact that the HW Horse is so different from the DAZ Horse (shape wise) and has so many other possibilities considering the floating and flying mane for instance, it would be a total limitation to the fantastic model. And there's no place I could sell it. To give it away for free - for that it is simply too much work. Posing a horse in general isn't an easy task and done in a few minutes unfortunately but the HW Horse would be an additional challenge.

Thank you for at least considering it - if you ever did do something I'm sure Hivewire would be pleased to sell it for you.

  • Just an FYI, I think this set looks amazing and is the first thing I've bought in the sale.  The draped cloth looks fantastic and reminds me of many old master paintings and statues that I've seen.

That's so nice to hear, Ameesa. I hope you'll feel inspired for some great new render images! :)

I'm not so sure HW ( or DAZ) would be so amused about a HW Horse and V7 pose and SheetZ set. But to prove that I've tried it:

See, from these I was thinking the drapes went around the horse itself, making gowns and skirts for the horse, and I was thinking "I wonder if this will work on My Little Pony models" and then I thought "I wonder if there's some good My Little Pony models"

I was going to gripe about the Hivewire Horse not having a saddle and it looks like it does now. I can't believe I missed it. I checked for so long that I left part of my live over there just checking. LOL! I finally said the heck with it and stopped checking. I bought the horse and there it sat and sat and sat. I never really used it, I needed the saddle.

I'm really pleased I dropped in here - I'd skipped this product when I saw it as I didn't see an immediate use. But reading some of the comments sent me to look again and it looks really good. I'm just about to go shopping...

That's nice to hear, Mel. :) Feel free to drop by in my DA gallery too (see first post), maybe it helps to get a better view on the things. And you can of course send me a note for questions or suggestions anytime there! :)

Oh, sorry - I didn't mention it explicitly, but my "look again" included going to your dA gallery: there are some lovely pics there.

I have now purchased and am looking forward to trying it out soon...

Stil waitin' and waitin' on the Western saddle though. But the quality on the available saddle is excellent, great posing with the reins too.

Oh, yeah, I put this in the cart before I even clicked to view the product page!

Daz Horse never looked good enough imo; if I was on the fence about your product, seeing it with Hivewire Horse would swing it imo. I was interested because of the sheets; dynamics takes a long time to product them. I've seen the horse over at Hivewire and am tempted; I don't have a use for it but it looks so good.

Now that's a behavior of my liking and I have to admit, I too do this often. :D

The DAZ Horse could need an update for some things for sure, but is is a wonderful and very realistic 3D equine IMO. I'm so looking forward to some horse renders in the gallery here! :)

Beautiful posing and draping, and an instant purchase for me. Congrats to Jepe and Muscleman.

I agree that the Hivewire horse is very well done figure, and Rita's textures bring it to life, but the DAZ horse 2 is also well done, and I think the compatibility issues that would arrive with trying to mix the tech would not make it cost/time effective to try to work around. I look forward to putting images in the gallery for you.

    cheers!

  • you mean Daz Horse 2 DestinysGard ;)  but with the dragon3 awhile ago and now gensis 3 ladies and soon Michael 7 maybe just maybe because of the new tech in creating those figs with extra bones and such they may just bring out a daz horse 3 as well as the cats and dogs maybe birds and other critters including sea life after all they have this new version of daz with iray and new generation of human characters they surely would want to stay ahead of the rest and release other content to fully show off what daz 4.8 and iray can do. Someone mentioned once that the hw horse was origionally going to be the daz horse 3 but something happened and hw got it so yeah again daz needs to release a new one to keep them at the top

  • oh btw that's a beautiful render Jepe

  • I do mean DAZ horse 2. Thanks Angel. Post edited.
