You don't have access to the Publishing Build (a PA version of Daz Studio that may be ahead of the versions available to the public) so you don't need 9and shouldn't get) the Publishing Build versions of the plug-ins. I thought this had been fixed, but if not just cancel them, delete the package from Ready to Install, and hide them in Ready To Download (both in the right-click options).
This login and restart to activate is getting annoying. Can you at least implement some kind of pop-up when it's time to login to activate again? It's so frustrating to start a new project only to find that dforce companion is nowhere to be found and then have to save, login, close, open again - 15 minutes down the drain, killing the creative flow.
...and this time around, I can't re-activate by logging in: all the plugins are greyed out, with the error: "This plugin must be registered to be enabled."..... sigh
Edit: apparently my subscription has somehow been deactivated - re-subbing to see if that at least enables me to activate the plugins again
Edit 2: Worked, so back to the original gripe :-)
I got the installer to run under Wine/Linux Zorin Linux 16, but I get the follow error message when I start DAZ Studo, and none of my product appeaar.
HALP!
Not a premier feature issue, please check https://www.daz3d.com/forums/discussion/60901/daz-studio-and-linux - I suspect you will find an answer there already, if not feel free to ask.
Thanks. Didn't know where to look.
There's a link on the coupon for the bundles that qualify
I have tried all the remedies offered and I still can't get the Premier options to show up in the a working menu. I have submitted a Bug report but haven't heard anything. The options show on the F3 pane but I can't move them nor do they show in a Edit> Figure pane. I am runnning DS4.23 on a Mac Pro (spec attached). Anyone have suggestions?
I have a problem with the DAZ Premium features. It was possible to use Gen 9 clothes on Gen 8, but after i had to reinstall Windows and DAZ it doesn't work. I have tried to reinstall the plugins several times with the Install manager and the installers and nothing works.
Does anbody know why? None of the plugins are greyed out.
What's the problem on earth ... you see no Auto Fit dialogue after loading G9 clothing on G8? Auto Fit plugin comes from Daz Studio installation package and it's not tied to Premier tier...
The problem is, that premier has a feature to fit gen 9 clothes to gen 8 characters and it doesn't work. It worked before i had to reinstall DAZ Studio. This feature is tied to Premier, this is why got Premier in the first place.
Are the other Premier features working? Did you install the updated Genesis 8 Starter Essnetials (I would assume so since it was working before, but just checking).
There're six Premier plugins (in SS1) in which none of them has anything to do with AutoFit...
I'm afraid what you mentioned is related to G9 Clone file for G8 plus updated Projection Templates / Projection morphs for AutoFit / Rigging... but they're not tied to Premier other than just included in Genesis 8 Starter Essential packages... that everybody can download and update ~
You just need to update Genesis 8 Starter Essential products in DIM...
Thanks for the info, than i mixed this up, because i got the update at the same time as premier. Thanks for the help.
One reason for the misunderstanding that the feature to Auto-Fit Genesis 9 assets to Genesis 8 characters is exclusive to the Premier tier is likely due to inadequate promotion of Daz Studio Premier.
A video on the page introducing the features of Daz Studio Premier showcases the G9 to G8 Auto-Fit. This could easily lead to the misunderstanding that this feature is exclusive to the Premier tier.
Yes, that video should be it.
Updating Gen 8 solved my problem.
Are these features documented anywhere? If I understand, they are mostly tweaked versions of existing plugins, is that correct?
Pretty sure I have them all, though I don't know which Pose Converter it is, and I'm not sure what Geometry Sculptor is (Is it just Mesh Grabber rebranded?)...
I'm not crazy about this software as service model, but if these tools are going to help me, I've come around to at least considering it (I don't need 8 million more female figures, thank you very much); but I need some documentation.
Maybe someone could help me with specifically the "Pose Converter" offered by Pose Converter
My setup and actions:
-YES, I have premiere membership
-Windows 11
-Daz Studio 4.24
-DIM, Filtered as Richard recommended "rx::ci::^Premier -"
-Installed all modules and verified (See attached).
-In Daz Studio 4.24 I've logged into "Daz Connect", got the message to restart to activate modules.
-Loaded a G9F character and selected it
-Clicked on the G8M pose
-Clicked on Edit->Figure and do not see "Pose Converter"
"Pose Converter" is supposed to be listed in Edit->Figure->Pose by what Richard said AND the video presented shows (see attached).
Any thoughts on what to try?
Thanks in advance,
FREAKING FORUM GOES DOWN over 50% of the day it seems. Attaching my images worked four attempts ago but now, they wont finish uploading.
Is it listed in Help>About Installed Plug-ins?
On my desktop it shows "Pose Converter" and it is a green plug with the following:
Filename : C:/Program Files/DAZ 3D/DAZStudio4/plugins/dzposeconvertor.dll
Name : Pose Convertor
Author : Daz 3D, Inc
Version : 1.0.7.0
Evaluation : Expires 12/27/2025 2:00:49 PM
On my laptop where I also logged in to Daz Central and did all of the items it doesn't even list the "Pose Converter".
Was it a joke that the ManFriday products were brought directly into the program? Should I uninstall those?
I did uninstall all Premiere plugins, rebooted, brought up Daz Studio, Verified not there, Re-installed all Premiere items and still missing.
In the desktop, wheer it is showing, it may the issue several of us had with this or the shape equivalent simply not appearing in the menus - check Window>Workspace>Customise - there should be a Pose Converter group on the left, since the plug-in appears to be working which you could then drag to the correct place in the menus on the right. On the laptop, it sounds as if the right version is not installed - even if it is disabled for some account-related reason/bug it should be theer with a red plug icon.
Old Manfriday Pose Companion plugin and Pose Converter plugin binded with Premier tier actually can be loaded at the same time as they're different DLL files. They can work well separately.
The issue you have might come from the layout. You can try Update and Merge Menus under Window > Workspace. Save your current DS layout beforehand.
Thank you so very much Richard! I see it there which is AWESOME!
Laptop, like you pointed out, something is bonked there even though it's a pretty new installation as it shows it installed from DIM but is not listed in plugins or the customize menu option. I'll deal with that later.
I also saw the response from crosswind which fixed the problem on the desktop as well.
Thank you so much crosswind! This fixed it on the desktop machine instantly. I appreciate it.
There should be some kind of pop-up when restarting Daz Studio with a bullet point list of things to do once you convert Daz Studio to Daz Premiere Pro. Or just automatically do it but with an automatic backup of a users workspace just in case.
NOW if the flashlight, that shines bright light into my face every time I press the render button for fivish seconds on a 34" ultra-wide monitor, could be dealt with... GOLD!
THANK YOU BOTH!!! Richard has always been helpful and I love the support from the Daz community/programmers.
