Ya I bought Sasha yesterday and I had 3 and I have 3 again...that's 2 days in a row, maybe daz will give us rev up credits incase we miss a day

  • My rev point is now at three.  Earlier this morning it was at four I think.  Is it because I did not check out yesterday?

  • As far as I can tell my RevUp count has always been 3.  It seems to have started at 3.  I've bought at least one item everyday but it has stayed at 3.  It nevers go up to 4 and it has never gone done to 2.  It always stays at 3.  I'm beginning to wonder whether it has something to do with the Holy Hand Grenande or a very dangerous little rabbit.

You lose one each day you don't purchase a "Featured" item. So to increase your points (or stay at 4 if you're there) you must purchase a "Featured" item every day.

Well if you buy a "Featured" item the point you earn will last until midnight the next day.

I hate this.  I had a family emergency and was away from the internet for 2 whole days.  My rev up dropped from 4 to 2 and there is NO WAY to get it back to 4!  I can't earn 2 in a day.  I can't get more than a 3. And it makes me REALLY ticked.  REALLY ticked. I feel like buying 2 RevUp items should, you know, REV UP your counter twice.

I don't usually complain, but THIS irritates me.

Hm, thinking about it, isn't it enough to buy a "Featured" item every other day to keep status quo?

Day 1: purchase Featured item in the morning, jump from 3 to 4. 40% off the whole day and the next day (Day 2).

Day 2: still at 4/40% the whole day so no need to buy a Featured item

Day 3: You lose 1 (back to 3), but buying a new Featured item gets you back to 4/40% the rest of the day and the next (Day 4)

Day 4: still at 4/40% the whole day so no need to buy a Featured item

Day 5: You lose 1 (back to 3), but buying a new Featured item gets you back to 4/40% the rest of the day and the next (Day 6)

Day 6: still at 4/40% the whole day so no need to buy a Featured item

    etc. etc.

    Am I right?

You know, I think you should be right.  There must have been a sale glitch with my purchases yesterday.  I logged in and was at a 2.  I bought something and then went to bed.  (It said it would take up to 5 minutes to see the change, and I didn't wait around and look at the meter because I was tired.  It's been a terrible week.)  Anyway, by that count, I should have been at 3 this morning.  Only I was still only at a 2!  I just bought something today and the meter did go up to 3, but it didn't count yesterday's purchase, because by your (very helpful!) explanation, I ought to have been at 3 before bed last night and 4 at this moment.

Grr. I hate these weird sale mechanics that don't always work right.

Someone else should look at this and tell me if I'm correct...

    9/1: 4 -- bought something
    9/2: 4 -- bought nothing
    9/3: 3 -- bought nothing
9/4: 2 -- bought something.  Should have gone up to 3
9/5: Still a 2!  Bought something and it did go  up to 3.  Should be a 4.

That's the way the math should work, but you're leaving money on the table. If you buy the days you have 4, you get the maximum discount. By skipping a day, you're paying more than you have to for the featured items you are buying.

But then I bought an item from two days ago rather than one of today's releases. I found them... Less than interesting.

Sure all the items you bought were "Featured"? It's not enough just to purchase something, there must be at least one Featured item to get a Rev-Up.

I'm certain.  The items disappear from the sale page after you buy them, but "Purple Esmerelda" is actually shown in the sale ad, so I KNOW that was one.  I think the Extreme Merchant Resource Set 01 was also a Rev Up item.

Yup.  I logged out and both of those items show up on the "Still Featured" page today, which means they were "Featured" yesterday.

Yes, the Featured items cost a little more of course (but if you want more than one, just start buying the first one, then the rest later when it's gone up at 4). And if you buy a lot of other stuff that qualifies for the 40% extra, you'll save a good deal here, plus you don't have to buy a featured item every day if there isn't any you want. Since they last for 3 days there'll probably always be one you want when you need one to Rev-Up.

yeah i really wish they were more forgiving for losing points. maybe if you dont get anything in a week or a few days would be nice.  lol oh well.......crazy daz3d.   I guess thats one way to encourage people to buy more stuff though hah.

Same here, I'm just gonna report the last two days on one ticket, I bought something else to take me up to 4 again so hopefully it'll be at 4 tomorrow and not 3maybe I should buy another featured item just to be safe

Also, I suggest those that are having Rev-Up meter issues to check the date on your DAZ invoice(s) which shows the DAZ MDT date/time stamp.  I can imagine those of you outside of the US time zones may be caught up in date/timing issues.and how that affects your Rev-Up meter.

Those who bought yesterday but still lost a rev-up today, which of the Bundles did you buy, and which of Tue, Wed, and Thurs did you buy qualifying items?

  • Sigh.  The first few days had some good stuff, but the last 2 days I bought something just to keep from losing my discount.

I am growing weary of buying something for $6+ each day just to keep my "revs" in the hopes that tomorrow will have some stuff I can use.

Today is only the 6th.  Am I expeccted to keep this up through the rest of September; for another 24 days?

  • Honestly this kind of sale drives me away. Combined with mostly uninteresting products Daz won't see much money by myself. I wished they would bring back the old 50% sale.

  • I lost a rev up too... it went from 2 to 3 when i bought a couple of the new items yesterday, but then back down to 2 the next day after DAZ midnight.

I even bought another item trying to fix it, but it just went from 2 to 3 — but I should be back at 4.

  • Same procedure as before ... gained a rev-up yesterday due to buying a new item and lost one today ...

Seriously, any announcement of a status and/or fix being in progress or so?

  • I am still at three rev ups.  I thought I bought something yesterday and I thought I bought a new release today.

  • I am still at 3 rev ups.  I thought it would update by now

  • DkgooseDkgoose Posts: 1,451

Ya it's got to be a bug I only missed one day and the rev point I gain from my purchase one day is lost the following morning

  • purrkatpurrkat Posts: 134

Just another sales victim - had three rev points yesterday, purchased a qualifing item last night. Meter showed correctly - four rev points after purchase but this morning... back to 3. I've submitted a ticket, but the fact that it's a holiday weekend... not holding my breath. Oh well, no spending = more money in the bank.

On Friday I bought Sasha which was in the still qualifying category which put me back to 40% (full meter) didn't buy anything ysterday as I was away so expected to be at 3 but when I logged in now I only have 2..this is twice when I lost a rev and shouldn't have...what the heck Daz look at all the issues everyone is having!! I think it's time you check to see if your sale is working properly!

EDit to add:  I also submitted a support ticket to sales about the missing revs on my meter, there is obviously a problem happening with this sale!

9/6: Back at a 2!! Bought something and it did go up to 3 (again.)  Should be a 4 (still.)

I'm REALLY irritated by this.  Going to update my support ticket.  If DAZ is going to execute this kind of complicated sale over a holiday weekend, someone should be getting paid overtime for customer service issues.  I'm now going on 3 purchases with the wrong discount.  I'm going to end up buying a GC at the wrong discount, too, because I am clearly never going to get more than a 3 until someone manually fixes this mess.  I'm sure they'll give me store credit for all the things I've been overcharged for, but it's still very irritating.
