Please help me find Genesis style figures for sale

How does one find just the figures for sale at Daz3D?  I get a newsletter and clicking on it just sends me to pages of clothing.  I can't even begin to think about buying clothing if I don't own the figure.  I'm going in circles.  Can anyone link me?  Thanks

Genesis is a free download with DS4.8 (and I think the Poser DSON converter, but I don't use Poser, so I don't know)  If you have DS 4.8, Genesis should be available in your Product Library

  • Genesis is just one figure. After that you can get shapes/morphs and materials for genesis to change their look. But Genesis base figures are free.

In fact there are three free genesis figures, Genesis, Gensis 2 and Genesis 3. 4 if you consider that Genesis 2 has both male and female variants.  You will find these figures in the Starter Essentials packs.

Yes for clarity, if you want a different generation of Genesis, each generation is a different figure. And The second generation had 2 figures. Eventually the third will have a male counterpart. However if you are new to genesis, I would honestly suggest sticking to Genesis 1 or Genesis 2 for sheer simplicity, and availablity of stuff for the time being.

  • Also, if you are looking to buy figures that extend the base genesis figures with different looks we have a number of categories in the store for that:

    Genesis 3 - http://www.daz3d.com/people-and-wearables-genesis-3

    Genesis 2 - http://www.daz3d.com/people-and-wearables-genesis-2

    Genesis - http://www.daz3d.com/people-and-wearables-genesis

Genesis 2 has the most available content for it currently, but Genesis 3 is the newest figure and has some advantages when it comes to memory use and extreme bending.

Oh gosh everyone, thank you SO much.  I truly appreciate the responses.  I'm an old Bryce user that started with DS1 for posing for Bryce but I stopped using DS regularly and when I do it's version DS3.1.  I like a lot of what I see with Genesis and I think it's time to explore it but Daz3D has changed over the years and I have to get used to navigating it (the program and the site).  I'm a complete newbie with the version 4s of DS and their content.  I just recently bit the bullet and downloaded DS4.8.  If the user interface still looked like DS3.1 I wouldn't be so afraid of it.

  • if you click on the shop link then the people and wearables link that list all the skins and clothing now look at the filters options click on figure and you'll see the sections for different generations click each box for each figure generation you want to narrow your search down by for example genesis, click the figure menu again to hide that list so you can see better, over to the left you'll see sort by menu click on that and select price low to high. There's also a lot of free content too just type in the search box free or 100% or again in the main shop section don't select any sub menu options except the sort by price low to high

If this is the first time you've installed D|S4+ on that computer, you're probably on the hard to understand and extremely limited "training wheels" interface setup. Go to the Window menu and select Workspace>Select Layout and Style>Select Style — if you change the Layout to City Limits and the Style to Highway or Darkside then you'll have something almost, but not quite, as good and easy to use as the D|S3 experience.

  • get rid of the limited interface, I agree with SpottedKitty. I never used 3.1 with any seriousness, but even I hated 4.0 user interface and quickly adjusted it.
