Iray Preview way off render after update

in Technical Help (nuts n bolts)

Since the update, my previews are are looking incredibly off but renders are still looking pretty great. (screenshot below - render left and preview right)

I have a feeling its just some odd settings imposed after 4.23 but after updating my drivers and messing with it for a while I can't seem to get my previews to look like close to my final render product again. Anyone have any solutions here?

    Compare Draw Settings, which controls the preview, and Render Settings, which controls the render.
