Ah ha, fixed the texture problem. It won't work with everything, but a flowy dress, what I did was not fit it, just copy the pose to the dress, then set it to collide to a very flowy dynamic dress. So it was mostly in the right place and then I could arrange it better. And since I wasn't pushing out from an outfit distorted by boob-wrapping, the texture is a lot more even. (Render incoming)

(And if I wanted to play with it more, I could have fit it to supersuit to tweak outside of the dress minimum)

I bothered to do all this because there were details and cool surfaces on the conforming dress (negligee) that I didn't have on the simple dynamic dress. So I initially had a choice between an outfit that clung way more than I wanted but had cool details, or a simple dress (well, nightgown) that draped well. Now... I get both! Yay cake!

@timmins.william THANK YOU!! Thank you for this post, learnt a lot, particularly the "surface selector tool" you pointed out, hands down best New thing I've learnt this month!!! I have used the supersuit but found surfaces so confusing in the surfaces tab other than the basic zones I put it aside after one render (Cool Boy in my gallery!) This will be infinitely useful for many things.

Nice. I've been trying to tackle the 'underboob' problem with multiple figures. Only solid approach I've found is to use a dynamic dress, for very flowy things, or a corset, for more close-fitting things.

Supersuit doesn't help because of the way chest and abdomen surfaces are laid out. Ultra bodysuit doesn't look like it'll help, either, but we'll see.

And to bring this back to where we were in the other thread, underboob is one of the things that Zev0's Fit Control does better than aything else on the market.  Add in the ability to add in movement morphs and it's quickly become one of the most valuable tools in my kit.  Then again, that's true of just about all Zev's products, which tend to have tons of applications far beyond their stated purpose as he keeps adding on to them after the release.

I second this. Fit Control is indispensable for getting clothes to look right. Beyond the issue of breasts, it's solved a lot of problems fitting older clothing (V3, V4, etc) to Genesis 1/2.

Have you used the GenX2 products to load all Michaels, Victorias, Hiros, and Freaks, and Creature Creator, and Muscle morphs etc. into Genesis?  You get the morphs for every figure and you're bound to find something that will fix the problem.

Especially if you load them onto a second invisible figure, or use the transfer utility to add them directly to the clothes.  GenX2 is yet another one of those insanely versatile add-ons with abilities that most people don't know about, like transferring expressions between Gens 4-6.  I keep hoping someone who really knows DAZ well will write a book or set of tutorials that goes into a lot of the advanced tricks out there, as even after eight years I STILL find at least one "now why didn't I know that and why haven't I been doing that?" twist every couple of weeks.  I finally got smart and started saving everything I come across as MAFFs a few years ago, but I really regret not having done that with the original forums.  So much knowledge....

Ok, Fit Control is back to the top of my list, then. ;) These solutions I'm finding are nice, but many of them are finicky and require a lot of set-up, which would be a problem for many of my scenes, particularly with more than one character.

The Ultrabodysuit has spandex morphs which using the tricks above should help you with the underboob problem.  Load both the shirt and bodysuit on your figure then set collion parent to the bodysuit.  Adjust spandex morphs till desired result.  Sorry, moving my mom this weekend so no time to test but it should work fine.

    Cheers!

    Okay, mom can wait.

First one is item with the Lilith 6 morph.  The second uses the Bodysuit with the SpandexChestLilith6 morph.  This what you refer to as the underboob problem?

I spent a lot of time on the spandex morphs, your better use them ;)

Yes. There are, generally, two things I'm interested in -- the spandex thing, and also a general 'dress falls mostly straight down from the breasts.'

I was going to get ultra bodysuit anyway, but nice to know it will help.

Hmm, there are loosen morphs around the midsection/torso.  Wonder if they might help with the dress effect?

I'm sure. Supersuit works so long as the woman isn't TOO busty, but things fall apart at medium to heavy women.

I suspect spandex + loosen will do most of the job, and I could always throw in a cylinder or egg shape to collide with if need be.

God, end of September can't come fast enough. I WANT TO BUY STUFF

I've had amazing results with Fit Control solving the whole shrink wrap effect, definately a good option.
