Have just bought the Measure Metrics for DAZ Studio but after installing and registration the tab shows of but there is nothing to see, no values or anything even though I have selected a figure. What do I wrong?

Have you applied the measure "wearable" on the figure first? Need to do that first before using the actual measure metrics tool.
Or, if you are wanting to measure an item without a preset, used Create>New Measure Metric with the (or a) target selected?
Select your figure. Under Smart Content, Utilities (or Scripts I can never remember) you will find scripts to appply either basic or advance measure metrics to your figure. Double click the advanced one. It will apply a plethora of measurements for you. Then you need to open the Measure Metrics pane to see the rusults from all those measurements. If you select the Bust Circmference measure and look in it's Parameters tab it will even show you the bra cup size. Once you apply the advanced mesures to your figure there is even a script you can launch that will automatically adjust the cranial diameter (why?), height, waist, bust and hips to the values you enter. It works well, but it adjuststs the bust by shrinking the breasts. if you want larger cup sizes you have to manually decrease the chest depth and chest width of your figure a bit and run the script again. It will take a few iterations to achieve your desired bust circumference and cup size.
Finally, once you've got the measurements you desire on your figure, there is a script called Cleanup Measure Metrics (or something like that) which deletes all the measures from the scene.
Works flawlessly. Like 98% of Daz3d, completely undocumented.
Have fun.
A little off topic, but while we're talking Measure Metrics:
Is cup size computed using European methods (bust measument minus underbust measurement) or with the poorly-fitting US method (bust measurement minus underbust-plus-four)?
ah okay, as I have written, I have done something wrong :) okay, will see if it works
does MM work with G3F?
Do not find any script that has something to do with measure metrics
I don't think there's an updated Figure Metrics, but the plug-in itself will work.
Did you install Figure Metrics? That is the package with the sizing tools set up for Genesis and Genesis 2 - Measure Metrics is just the plug-in itself.
I've used it exclusively on G3F with no trouble at all. Have made dozens of morphs that came out really well. I've never even tried it on G2F.
I find the stock G3F figures don't look like real humans. They're much too idealized. I use Measure Metrics and the advanced body and head morphs to make my figure look as much like photos of a live model as I can. It never looks just like the model. I suppose it could if you spent hours and hours iterating the morphs. But once you get close it's amazing how much more lifelike the figure looks (at least to me) when morphed to look as much like a real live female model as you can get it.
I would have no idea. I can tell you that, if I get the chest depth and width reduced just the right amount (V7 is very tall and has a much larger chest that most real women), I've had very good results creating morphs that match photos of real women in the 32B to 34D range. Too big or too small gets harder as the morphs get clower to their limits. You will get ridges and bumps that look awful. If that happens, best to zero out all the breast morphs and try again. And, of course, smaller breasts are much harder to get right than larger ones. Tells you something about how the morphs are designed. Ha!
Well, you might be able to find them using the content library instead of the smart content pane. I'm traveling right now and don't have access to my home machine so I can't give you the precise folder and file names. If no one else can provide it for you before I get home next week I will post some screen shots of where they are.
Edit: Whoops! I owe Daz3d an apology. This feature is fully documented. Here's the link: http://docs.daz3d.com/doku.php/public/software/dazstudio/4/referenceguide/plugins/measure_metrics/using_the_figure_metrics_script/start
and I was wrong - \People\Genesis 3 Female\Measure Metrics. If you don't have that redownload and reinstall the Figure Metrics set, part of Measure Metrics.
no clue
it is installed and check as ready in the installed plug ins, I have also the tab but nothing else, there is nothing in the tab and I do not find any script.
But did you install all 3 parts:
Measure Metrics (that's the plugin)
Figure Metrics (that's the scripts)
Figure Metrics Content (that's the wearable presets that are customized to each figure)
The only thing that appeared in my shopping card was "measure metrics for daz studio 4.8" and the only two things that were shown up in the DIM under ready to download were "measure metrics for daz studio 4.8 32 bit" and measure metrics for daz studio 4.8 64 bit" that was all. So I have downloaded the 64 bit version and installed it via the DIM. I don`t know if that is correct, that was the only thing I was able to download and to install besides the 32 bit version.
this is what I have bought
http://www.daz3d.com/measure-metrics-for-daz-studio
and I get a 32bit and a 64bit version, two things I was able to download via the dim and I have downloaded and installed the 64bit version. There was only that I was able to install.
If you type
sku::16684
in the filter box in DIM, it doesn't show two entries for Figure Metrics as well as Measure Metrics?
ahhh, that was it maybe, yes they show up, but I must say, if I buy something named measure metrics I do not look under F but under M
Yeah...sometimes the way things are listed in the DIM is...not very logical, at least when trying to figure out what parts belong to each other.
I think Figure Metrics may originally have been planned as an add-on, not part of the base plug-in.
Due to the fact that Figure Metrics can be configured to use any property to adjust measurements, some properties may involve scale. Height is often one measurement that adjusts the general scale of the figure. Adjusting the general scale of the figure will also affect the scale of the head. If the intent is to adjust the height of a figure, the scale of the head shouldn't necessarily change, so enabling the Head Circumference measurement will attempt to keep that measurement while adjusting the height (or any other measurement).
It adjusts whatever property it is configured to adjust... which you have complete control of through the Configuration page if you prefer something else.
Figure Metrics Cleanup... but close enough.
As you discovered...
I included both Bra Cup Size (US) and Bra Cup Size (UK/AU) properties. I also included a Bra Band Offset (in) property to account for differences between the various manufacturers. As you adjust this property, the value of Bra Band Difference (in) changes accordingly, which in turn causes Bra Cup Size (US) and Bra Cup Size (UK/AU) to update.
Yes, I provide basic and advanced measurement Wearable(s) Presets for Genesis 3 Female. And I intend on updating the packages again once Genesis 3 Male becomes available.
It should be showing up in both. It does for me; I just deleted the database entries, then uninstalled and reinstalled both Figure Metrics packages to be sure I'm seeing what everyone else should be seeing.
It was. But, rather than cause customers to have to pay an additional amount for functionality that I thought many would want from the base product (figures being a significant part what we all do), I decided to do the work on my own time and give it to customers that bought the Measure Metrics plugin. I felt like being generous. But, being as that generosity seems to be seen as a negative to some... maybe I should rethink that decision. You know what they say about "looking a gift horse in the mouth."

Apologies if this has been asked and answered
I'm using Daz 4.8.0.59 and have downloaded and installed the 3 files: Measure Metrics, Figure Metrics and Figure Metrics Content and registered Measure Metrics as well. I manually installed it as I can find the content easier that way if I need to track something down, which is why I don't use DIM. Measure Metrics runs great, no problems there but when I launch Figure Metrics the little box at the end is not in the dialogue box so I can't customize the measurements
Also while I can change the node to Genesis 2 Female in the Configuration tab of Figure Metrics I can't set the property at all
I've tried reinstalling the files but I still can't customize the figure via Figure Metrics. I've obviously done something wrong but I have no idea what it is
How can I get Figure Metrics to run the way it should?
D'oh
Figured it out

I. You...
You get it. I'm so touched. This might seem like nothing to those that don't struggle, but from all the women of these that have fought for years with the voodoo of bra sizing, your name will be eternally praised, because you get it. Thank you so much! And thank you for taking the time to post this!
