The face in the original logo is looking to right.
The new logo is awful..it doesn't say "cutting edge 3d technology"..it says "new age, mind expanison iphone app.)

I think the logo is great.
Daz specializes in human figures so human face seems much more appropriate although I guess I will miss the old one for a while.
But yeah, its pretty nice! Good job Daz artists : )

But when you shrink it down and paint it blue for use as a DAZ Original icon on the store pages the face just becomes a stylized end of the hand - and the thumb ond two fingers end up poised over the cart icon, ready to grab anything you try to put in . . .
That's the problem, I think. You see a human face? I don't, unless I look really hard at the largest version of the logo. And other people see different things — a fish, a grasping hand, a blob of play-doh...
Maybe it's a Rorcarsch test set up by cunning psychology experimenters hidden away in the DAZ dungeons.
Personally, though, the new logo just doesn't do anything for me, all the smaller versions are just a splat of colour. At least the old logo was distinct at all sizes.
To me, it looks like the microsoft windows logo warped out.

It reminds me of a cartoon character from many years ago, an eagle I think, some sort of bird anyway.
That's supposed to be a face? I don't see it. Is this one of those optical illusion things? Like the one where you either see a vase or two faces.
well.. when I saw it i thought "The Claw! The Claw!" second glances do see the face, but the left hand side of that image is definitley the dominant one...
The right-hand outline is a face profile.

Well, while looking at the logo I was askin myself, what is this and what does it tells me? I don`t know, have absolutely no clue what this is and what it stands for. Should a logo not say something about the company?
other thing is, what was wrong with the former style of the site and the look? It is like at renderosity, why must everything change if it is good as it is? Okay, the main difference here at DAZ compared to Renderosity, nearly all works fine from the start on LoL. Not so much trouble as at RENDO LoL

It look llike a finger painting by my 6 year old nephew. And a rushed, sloppy one at that.
IMO, it's fugly. I liked the original geometric icon much better. But then clearly I do not share design tastes with the people running this website because I continue to detest the new forum design as well.
I like the concept but it doesn't scale down very well.

It really doesn't scale well.
that's how I feel. Full sized it's decent. But not a great logo for website or Daz Original items. Meaning is lost when it is shrunk down.
I still think it is a 3D artist who's head exploded at the back.
