V7 hands and feet mat zones

Hello!
Why is there no separate mat zones for hands and feet on V7? Is there a way to fix that since I'm trying to use a couple of second skin gloves on V7.

I don't use DS I use poser, and I would add the gloves to a copy of the skin and then resvae the file with a new name
It is even easier in DS as you can add the gloves a a LIE layer, as long as you have them place in the correct place on a templte saved as a PNG with an alpha map.
There are some other options. One is to create a Geoemtry Shell (Create menu) and apply the gloves to that, with a transparency map to hide the rest of the surfaces (actually you can hide body parts entirely in the Parameters pane, so only parts you want semi-visible would need a tansparency map). Another option is to use the Geometry Edit tool to select the handpolygons and create a new surface from that, assuming the polygon boundaries match the edges of the cloves. Yet another option is to use the layered Image Editor to add the glove map on top of the base skin (this is pretty much what Chohole suggests, but done live in DS rather than having to edit the skin maps).
Eww - just noticed that the hips the neck and torso mat zones are merged into one single one too! This really is complicating things, and I really feel like using bad language now!! I think I'll try Richard's option, since I want a different material to the gloves and the torso than the hips, neck and arms.
But can someone explain why they have removed so many material zones from V7? I can see the point in removing the nipples, since it felt rather pointless to have separate materials for those, but why removing hands, neck and feet?
And another thing - how do I remove the nails?
Removing the nails in the most basic terms is farily easy-- make the maps on the fingernails zone transparent. You'll get the colors for the nail beds instead. As for the modeled in part, that would have to be some sort of morph.
