Question regarding the Cowgirl for Genesis 2 Female(s) outfit

Does anyone have renders of the individual components of this product:

It's been a while since I've actually been interested in a new outfit, but I'm afraid that shortcuts may have been taken with some of the individual parts. I know I could buy it and return it if I don't like it, but I hate doing that.

What shortcuts are you worried about? It's easiest to just show that part, if you have a question about it.

Every part of the outfit is separate, as noted on the product information. The only thing it doesn't have is a shirt to go under the vest -- for layering/collision reasons, I suspect -- and it doesn't show or advertise one. (I am mildly surprised they didn't include a sort of shirt/vest combination, with the shirt as a material zone to be turned off if desired, but it's not a huge deal.)

My main concern is that the vest, pants and boots are not fully implemented, and would therefore not work if the duster and chaps aren't put on the figure. I recall that being the issue with another outfit (the one in the background of the promo pictures I think). I like to kitbash, and I like to have flexible outfits. If the outfit is an all-or-nothing proposition, I'll pass on it.

Like, they're ankle boots rather than actual cowboy boots? That kind of thing?

It's not all-or-nothing. Which isn't to say it's without issues, but not THOSE issues, anyway. There's only one part that requires the rest of the outfit.

The hat ... is also a pain in the rear. Its morphs don't work properly unless it's fitted to the character (I tried smartpropping it to her head -- that really doesn't work well), and it doesn't have enough of them to make it work without looking very deformed. I think it will need something like Sickleyield's G2/Genesis Hat/Hair helper to look decent. (In the promos, if you look closely, you can see that it's sort of oversized.) It also needs attitude adjusters -- right, left, forward tilt, back tilt -- that it doesn't have.

I have no idea why the collar exists. Seriously. The only real use I can see for it is either (a) to use as a collar on a bodysuit with a shirt-type texture, or most likely, (b) to emphasize the lack of shirt.

Anyway. On the left, Nidale G2F with Cowgirl duster, chaps and boots, Sickleyield Slim Jeans and DAZ CW overall shirt. On the right, FW Camille for Bethany 7 G3F with the Cowgirl vest, pants, and boots all autofitted to her. (Those items are, as you say, "fully implemented" and fit just fine on their own; that said, for the G2F figures, I don't think the vest will work well with an Olympia figure. The buttons stretch horribly on Bethany.)

The chaps won't work properly without the Cowgirl pants. The chaps don't have an FBM Expand All morph, and even with scaling and smoothing/collision set to 20/19 iterations, respectively, the pokethrough was pretty bad, as you can see. I even tried Show Hidden Parameters to expose the Scale dial, to try to get them big enough to get rid of the pokethrough from the pants below; I didn't want to go over 105% of scale because when I went higher, they started causing issues with the duster. (Also, I think the chaps have morphs to deal with the boots, but I was so involved in working with the chaps against the pants that I didn't dial them in.) The chaps really are the only item that can't be used separately.

Hope this tells you what you want to know.

Wow. Thank you for the in-depth analysis. And your render is worth a thousand words. The outfit does look rather rushed. I've got it wishlisted for now. Might pick it up at the end of the month if I haven't found a use for my PC coupon by then. Thanks again for your response, and the time you spent on it.

...and the buttons on the vest are part of the base texture as they distort badly by the breasts.
