Genisis 3 promotion, $50 credit not applied

Daz website said if I bought Genisis 3 and or Victoria 7 I would get a $50 credit. I did not. Tonight I entered the correct code, and it did not knock off a single cent. Anyone know what's up? I purchased about $70 of Gen3 and V 7 stuff so I clearly qualified. Thanks.

    Isn't that only towards items that are not marked as "new"? All Gen3 items are still new.

    Arti2, I don't understand what you mean. I bought $70 of new Daz Gen 3 stuff, I should have the credit.

    As far as I know, that $50 credit can only be applied towards items that are older than 60 days. I might be wrong, as I did not get that promotion.

    DAZ Original $50 coupon code will be given to qualified individuals in an on-site message - like this one - on Friday, Aug. 14 at 12:00PM (MDT, UTC -6). Coupon excludes PC+ items, gift cards, memberships, and new releases.

    Thank you Chohole. So they clearly did not honor my coupon. Hope I'm not on hold all morning tomorrow getting a refund for the original Gen 3 stuff (the coupon was the only reason I bought it) and the stuff I bought today (the $50 credit was the only reason I bought it). So Daz will be the loser, there is $140 they won't make off me.

    About $100 of general stuff. A lot of it would be (in my opinion) 'old stuff', Gen 1 and some Gen 2 stuff. Perhaps Daz defines "New Releases" as anything after Victoria 3.

    I am glad I used a charge card, I can charge this back.

    I like Daz in general, but I have never had a good experience with these 'special offers'. Sloppy marketing.

    "New Releases" is defined as anything released in the last 60 days. They should all be marked with the green "NEW" banner in the corner of the promo image.

    Can you name a handful of the items?  It might make it possible for us to pinpoint what the problem is.  However, if you just want to return things just submit a sales support ticket.

  • I'm also having a problem applying the coupon. When I enter it and press apply I get the message     Coupon code " " is not valid

  • Checking the obvious, but are all the items Daz Originals and NOT PC items?

    Be thought of as lucky. I picked up B7's Starter kit on the sixth, and wasn't even offered the $50 code :P

    Well, if your items indeed are all DAZ Originals, and neither of them has the "new" banner (Currently latest item with the new stamp is SKU 22096, which was released about two weeks before G3/V7), and also matches the other criteria, I would contact customer support and have them manually applying that coupon, rather than the other way around. 

    Also, if you let us know which items you are trying to apply this on, we could help you sort out things.

    There is no need to charge it back, you simply file a help ticket and ask DAZ 3D for a refund.  DAZ 3D has a 30 day refund policy.

    Thanks for  the answers. Some of the products I bought are: Cassie for V4 and Genisis, Sylphaid hiar, Qumra Hair, The Pillory, Real Metals for Daz Studio, Dynamic Sheets, and i13 pose. I don't think any of these are new, they have been on my wish list for a long long time.

    Most of these are not Daz Original items. One I could not find, but from the rest, only one was Daz Original.

    The only product in that list which is a DAZ Original is the Dynamic sheets.  All the rest are PA items, and thus not eligible for this coupon.   Daz Originals have DAZ 3D as the primary vendor, and are also marked with the DAZ 3D icon symbol

    Thank you Chohole. I feel as if I have been swindled. I put in a 'customer service ticket', I want that $50 credit and I am not enjoying this. I am a longtime Daz customer, having migtated to Daz from Poser (Poser three is where my CGI  hobby started!). And PS- why did'nt I get the credit for the Dynamic sheets? I didn't get a single penny.

    Because the whole cart has to meet the requirements.  Well that would be my guess. As I didn't get this offer I do not know the exact requirements which were made on the actual coupon.

    It does often happen that a non qualifyung item in the cart will stop the coupon working

    Thank you Daz...finally got around to trying V7 and she's amazing, after a few years of Poser, I've fallen for V7 and Wear Them All gives her a fabulous wardrobe of old V4 favs... grabbed Dragon 3 with my $50 and it's brilliant..very happy:)

  • Yeah - in fact, the last 2 coupons I've received from Daz, when I tried to use them in checkout I get a "coupon invalid" message.  I've sent in reports twice now and have received no satisfaction.  Since this time I actually had to spend money to get the $50 coupon I am not happy and I will NOT cease until they either refund the purchase price of Victoria 7 or send me a valid coupon.  My next step will be to file a complaint with the better business bureau.

    In which case, they owe it to their customer base to flag items that don't meet their requirements.  It is a bad business practice in bad faith that they force you to have to keep trying random combinations of items to get a cart that works.  I see nothing on any item page that tells whether the item is a PC+ item only, so there is no way to tell if any item will work.

    This coupon does work, as long as you are complying with the terms of the coupon. For this one:-  All items in the cart have to be DAZ Originals. Coupon excludes PC+ items, gift cards, memberships, and new releases.

    DAZ Originals are products that show DAZ 3D as the primary seller, ie the first name in the list of vendors on the product.  They will also have the DAZ 3D icon on them, but not the PC icon.  New releases will show a green "New" band across the thumbnail and the promo images.

    The labelling is all there:

    On the shop page:

    1 - New Release

    2 - PC+Item

    3 - DAZ Original item

    4 - regular PA item

    5 (arrow without number) - Item in wishlist

    6 - already purchased item.

    And on the item page:

    1- DAZ-Original icon

    2 - PC+ icon

    3 - "New Release" icon

    4 - "Artist" = DAZ Original

    It's not rocket sience... but it might be useful if DAZ3D put something akin to a "road map" of the icons in an easily accessible location. Or, even include it in the advertisement: "Can't use it on items with these icons" "can only be used on items with this icon".

    OK. I purchased both Victoria 7 and Belle 7 on the dates that they were released. I have not received any notification of this coupon. First, I will ask where I am supposed to find it.

    But from what I've gathered, not everyone who bought them "in time" received that offer&coupon.
