It's been a year and the sequel to my first book is finally out. For those of you who enjoyed the original, I hope you find the new one even better.
As far as the cover goes, I rendered the figures in DS, using shaders on Lady Swiftbrook's outfit. K'hul's hair (the male) was done in PS as was the special FX and such. Also, the gryphons I used for the chapter headings and the scene breaks came from Ron's Sci-Fi Custom Shapes Volume 2.

Looks great !!!
Congratulations Maraich- it's catchy and holds the attention. I really like the font, particularly the interlocking L's from line one and two. Hope you do well with the sales.
Just bought the Kindle edition... Great writing, fun! Great covers.
YAY!!!
And purchased.. paperback, 'cause I like real books.
Thank you, everyone! I appreciate your support and well wishes.
I'm just pleased with myself for actually following through.
Probably not as pleased as we are. =) Now I have to make time to reread the first one so I remember all the subtleties of the plot.
* does the happy dance *
Paperback version bought. Now I just have to wait for it to be delivered, which unfortunately will take quite some time...
So last year I got Fred Winkler Art a copy of your first novel for his birthday.. great timing, just enough to get a copy to England this year.
Gratz it looks great!
Congratulations! Great covers for both your books. I hope there will be Dutch translations soon because I really liked what I read about them.
Love, Jeanne :)
Just bought the Kindle edition! Another great cover and I can't believe an entire year has gone by already. It sounds like this one is even better than the first one which was a good read! Congratulations!
Congratulations on your second novel!
Congratulations on your first novel! Your covers look great. Your author's page at Amazon and your trailer look solid as well.
I think DAZ Studio is a fantastic tool for indie writers!
Thanks again, everyone. I couple of reviews have trickled in and so far the consensus (of two - LoL) is that the second book holds up well. I hope the rest of you find that to be the case.
DAZ Studio really has opened a lot of doors for me, not just in a professional sense, but as a creative outlet. I've always been interested in art, but for the most part the images in my head couldn't make it to paper or canvas in an accurate manner. Fiddling around with the 3D models, shaders, textures and PS ended years of frustration.
Congrats and good luck!
