Every time I make a render using the 3Delight renderer in DAZ Studio, the render turns out very dark, and I have to correct the exposure/brightrness/contrast in Photoshop.  Is there any setting to get the render to turn out correctly exposed in the first place?

Thanks!

  • Gamma value and Gamma Correction on? How are you deciding what is correct? The preview is not a reliable indicator, not least because it doesn't show shadows so a light that will be blocked in the render will affect the preview.

Also, check the Gain setting in the Render Settings...it's been something I've accidentally changed one too many times and drove myself nuts trying to figure out why someone turned out the lights.

Hi, thanks.  What are the Gamma value, gamma corretion, and gain settings suppose to be?

    Gain should be 1.

If Gamma Correction is on, it should be 2.2.

It was the gamma correction that was causing the problem.  It was set at 1.

    Thanks for the answers!
