    does anyone know how long the anime sale has been going on? Know it's for 2 hours...but how long ago did it start? Just wondering how long I've got to peruse it.....

    Banner went up about half an hour ago, I've been just checking out with 1 item at a time instead of waiting until I've gone through them all, just in case.

    Right that's me out of the latest DAZ game. Fixed blink in eyes closed mode as about to hit 1am Wednesday morning in the UK, time for bed. Have fun will see what I missed in 7 hours.

    Agreed. Would have saved me trouble a month ago or so, whereas I hit the pay button and the prices must have changed right then. I had to write daz and ask for a refund on the difference. What a hassle that was, and all at a time when I needed most of my cash, so to wait for a refund sucked. Sucks that the Horror flash sale was on earlier (was asleep for work), I had numerous items from that in my wishlist, numerous items, including werewolfs. Darn you Daz!

    Just returning now to see what transpired while I was asleep. So Anime was the last one then for yesterday. Thanks for everyones comments and contributions, hopefully someone at DAZ will have seen this and fed it back to someone who might be able to make comment or implement something before the next round of Blink sales.

    Wow...thank goodness I missed the Anime sale, I would have spent a fortune that I really didn't need to!  LOL!

    It was more of a generalised cartoon-themed sale. 'Anime' is Japan-specific. Not sure why they referred to it as that.

    I saw the historical sale advertised in the store header yesterday, and had a quick look but didn't have time to place an order. As somebody said, it's a busy time here in the UK - evening meals to prepare and eat, kids to bath and get ready for bed, pets to feed etc. By the time I was done, the historical sale was over and the items I wanted back at full price again. There were a couple of items I fancied in the horror sale that had replaced it, but since I had no idea when the two hours mentioned would be up, I just couldn't be bothered to rush to place an order before it was over. Treating me like a cat intent on pouncing on screwed up bit of paper tied to a bit of string before it's snatched away is not the way to make me feel like a valued customer.

    Despite that, I like the idea of blink sales but think they should be longer - around four hours - as it's not just the people tied up with domestic duties that miss out, but the people who work, too. Daz might like to think they're top of the pile, but shockingly most places do not offer Daz breaks to their employees as a matter of routine :) I also agree that a countdown timer is necessary for customers to feel they're taking part in a sale with a clear deadline, rather than just being blindly baited with an offer.

    While you are not wrong, there has been a growing use of the word 'Anime' in reference to most animation... It doesn't surprize me that Daz used it to refer to there 'cartoonie' selections

    That's as bad as the creeping nonsensical replacement of 'monster' with 'kaiju'.

    Thankfully, there's been some push-back over that.

    ...auuuugh, there were a couple items that caught my eye on Fastgrab last night.  Woke up today to find it's pretty much nothing but poses and the items I wanted were no longer there. Sometimes the same items sit there for days even weeks, of course when something you finally want shows up, it's gone the next time you look. .

    Look out for some blink sales and remember they only last 2 hours, if you blink they may be already gone.

    I loathe blink sales. Ah well.

    (It's also killing me how much is on sale right now that I want and don't have cash for. I just have this vision of finally having money and nothing's on sale for months)

    This sale is stacking with the Bridging the Gap sale, so with one of those new releases in the cart, the base G2M figures are coming in under $4 :D

    Are the monthly PA Coupons not valid on these Blink Sales?  I've got three items, none "New", adding up to $18.75 and am being told "Coupon code '08-15PlatClub' is not valid".

    Take a screenshot and open a ticket. Maybe buy then seek the refund. I had this problem with the PC+ sale and was told after the sale ended that  the coupon discount would have been honored.

    Well, I tried "08-15PlatClub" with an old non-sale item, and that didn't work either.  So it's not a Sale related problem.  In the main I don't like raising tickets, especially if I know in advance that there's likely to be a problem.  I'll wait until an item I must have rears it's head.

    EDIT:  Scrub all this, I'm an idiot!  I put the DO coupon code in rather than the PA coupon code.  Everything is now working, and DAZ is a wonderful organisation!  yes

    Note that 08-15PlatClub only applies to Daz Originals, NOT PC+ items.

     

    Yeah. Every month I work very hard to try to find something cheap enough to get that's Daz but not PC. It's... hard. There aren't a lot of items there.
