"Suitable for Work" or "Suitable for Kids" tags?

Argh.
I've recently purchased an adorable pre-teen or early teen character from another site. It's exceedingly hard to find suitable clothing for that age ... and also exceedingly hard to find "suitable for work" clothes. I ask myself "Would I wear that to work" or "Would I let my kid wear that to school?"
You know:
Cothing that is casual or casual dressy
No cleavage
Straps or sleeves (nothing strapless)
Shirts that cover the midriff, or that go over pants or skirts or that can be tucked in
Skirts and dresses that are mid-thigh to knee length (and have adjustable length),
Flat shoes or modest heels.
Can we have filters that can make this type of clothing easier to find?

I'd definitely second this. I need tribal/ancient world clothing for my game but most of what I can find is just lingerie, or heavy body armour with high heels.
I'd like some kind of "historically accurate" tag - perhaps there's a common theme here to the sentiment of what you want.
I don't think this type of clothing is particularly hard to find per se. It's just that there isn't much of it in the first place. My little company makes adventure/mystery games for IOS and Android and if you thought Daz was a little prudish it pales in comparison to Apple and Google. Clothing has to be 100% appropriate but even then, a scene with a bikini on a beach would probably find us having to self-certify our game with a M (Mature) rating which is financially the same for us as Disney making their next Toy Story sequel an 18 or an R.
I very much doubt you'll get your tag (we can live in hope but don't hold your breath) so the trick is to discover the PAs that make the products you want and the keywords to use in the store. For work clothing, try 'business' for example. Ignore the mini skirted outfits and you'll find a lot of clothing that you would actually wear yourself to work - have a look at the H&C store for example. Once you've found an item, have a look at the author's page - they tend to be fairly consistent in terms of things you would buy and things you wouldn't. Same for the the school clothing. Just search for 'school' and pick the authors who make age-appropriate clothing. There are quite a few - Dogz and Sue Yee spring to mind for this particular genre but there are others. Have the eye bleach handy for some of the things with school in the title that really shouldn't.
If you're using Gen 9, as we are, there will be some work involved as most of the items are for G8/G8.1 and G3. Anything with buttons will be a boring slog of repositioning them onto rigid follow nodes but you only have to do it once.
For non-formal children's outfits, have a look at 3D Universe's outfits. They come with a lot of length and fitting morphs and are completely appropriate. There are of course other people making clothing but these PAs I've mentioned tend to be consistent and have stuck in my head for this very reason. At the end of the day, you can't go wrong with jeans and a t-shirt and there are a myriad of those to choose from!
Pancake - historically accurate? Ahahahaha. Hahaha. <Breathes> Good luck!
Theoretically and technically it could've been done to add this sort of tags... There's a data field named "audience" in product metadata, which is even defined at asset item level. It means it's even possible to give a "Teen" tag for a Skirt, or a "NSWF" tag for a Pose Preset... Then enable such a filtering criteria in the store..
However, nobody from Daz and/or Vendors has ever done so, which might turn out to be a thankless thing...I think. Ho ~~
I would add esha to the mix for normal, everyday clothing an average woman would wear to work at a real office job that doesn't require a uniform of some kind, go shopping, or just exist in the real world. The color palette blends across the generations and the clothes are great for mixing and matching. And then there is her jewerly.
But as TimberWolf wrote, look through the clothing pages for outfits you think appropriate, then study the PA's page, wishlist like crazy.
I have found some nice items on Renderosity, but I can't figure out their search function and it is hit or miss. Generally I get pointed to an item by someone here on the forums. I don't study their website.
I don't know what you're talking about; the skirt on this uniform is definitely long enough for school.
(This post brought to you by Matt's project to satirise skimpy outfits by putting them on a well-built centaur).
But stupid jokes aside, I do sympathise with the issue. I have several teen characters in my cast, and there's not much that's usable for them.
I think the Happy Centaurs After School Club could completely reboot that whole NFT thing...
They've got the Pollock, an Old Master, some cliched ape and they're looking for something new, innovative and edgy to spend their millions on. I would beat you to the starting line on this but my Happy Centaurs with their hock-length skirts just wouldn't cut it in today's marketplace.
You're onto a winner here, Matt. I'll be suing you for PTSD after you make your own millions though....
I have done more sensible centaur school uniforms, if that helps. (A conversion of Dogz's much more realistic and highly recommended Time For School set).

I've got tears in my eyes! This is so hilarious! The situation, the expressions, an angel and devil girl on the staircase, Oh!
