how can I move his hand and fingers?

DrekkanDrekkan Posts: 460

So I have just added Michael 4 and the +++ addon (yes I know there is much newer versions out there but I wanted to use this one for something specifically) but it appears I cannot move him around much and can only move the general whole figure around as a whole no matter where I click on him and not individual limbs or his fingers and such. Is there something I missed and need to add in order to be able to do this or am I just doing it wrong? does anyone know what I should do here?

It looks like you are using the Surface Selection tool. That's only going to allow you to select based on the surfaces available.

Switch to the Universal Select tool. It is the 6th one to the left of the tool selected in your attached image. Then you can select individual parts.

Do you see where it says "General" just above "morphforms" on the right hand side of you screenshot?  click on that and the options to move his hand at the wrist should appear.

Well I have obviously have been doing this long before you all suggested it and no luck. Is there an M4 package I have missed somewhere? I installed M4 base then elite+++ for it. Is there anything I have missed?

Posing his limbs shouldn't require you to install any addons.  I prefer spinning the bend/side-side/etc dials that should be under general to using the universal selector tool, so I can't help you with that.

Do as Tim 0G told you, you don't have the hand bone/node selected you have the hand surface selected.

Click on the Icon directly to the right of the Arrow icon.  This is the Universal Manipulation tool.  With it, you can select the various parts of M4 and bend, twist and translate them.
